This has a nice large capacity for water, has a clearly marked water fill window, and heats fairly quick. There is no way to control the water temperature (other than turning it off when you think it may be hot enough), the first time I used it I burned my mouth bad enough it took a little over a week to heal. This product is perfectly adequate, which was exactly what I was looking for. We had our last one for years but it was starting to deteriorate and we wanted one that matched our stainless steel appliances. There were other kettles with more features and buttons but that is ridiculously complicated for something that has 1 purpose. This one has 1 button that boils and its perfect. We've had it for about 2 months and there is a little rust around the lid which is why I took a star off but that doesn't really bother me. Overall I like it! ... show more

I bought this item to use for tea and making items that I need hot water for and not using a pot to boil. It gets hot fast, quick and easy to do. I do like this item a lot. It was complete with everything listed in the booklet. Love it. I would buy another for for the office.

    • LOUD!
Kettle looks very nice and seems to be very well made. Smart styling and the stainless steel is thick, not flimsy. But it is so LOUD! It starts off OK, but then at about the 25% point it begins to sound like a Saturn V rocket lifting off. No getting up early to make the Wife a cup of tea in bed without waking her up. Another thing is that it shuts off too early. The water just starts to boil when the auto switch kicks off. I prefer a good "rolling boil" to make a proper cup of tea and the only way to get that is to hold down on the switch for about 5 - 10 seconds. Probably not what it was designed to do however, needs must. Shame really as it is quite a good product. This kettle replaced a Wally World cheapo which was a bloody good kettle, very quiet, cost about a third of this one, but unfortunately only lasted about a year. ... show more

    • This Kettle - sticks to the bottom of the pot and is hard to get off. WD 40 does not help.
The bottom sticks and is very flimsy and cheap. When you lift the pot off to use it, it sticks to the pot. Feels unsafe and cheap. I have had 2 other kettles that had a weighted base that felt much better without the crashing down of the cheap plastic heating element. Feel like it could be a fire hazard. I would not recommend this product. It is not what I expected from this brand. ... show more
