  • This shredder is awesome. So glad I bought it.
Love this shredder. We shred all of our own cheese since buying this. Before I bought it I read an article that said when you buy already shredded cheeses they put a certain amount of filler in it. That prompted me to think about shredding my own. Cause who knows what they use for filler?’ It could be saw dust for all we know. I chose this brand because it’s very inexpensive & has good reviews. Plus it came highly recommended by my son. :) You won’t believe how much it changes the flavor of what you’re cooking when you shred your own. It’s just so much fresher. I haven’t used any of the other blades it comes with yet, but I’m thinking of using it tomorrow to make fresh hash browns. I’m positive they’ll be awesome. ... show more

  • Excellent can opener.
The product was great as are most Cuisinart products. Much better than the hand opener I’ve been using. That hand opener was ok by me but my sister objected to the necessity of holding a manual can opener perfectly oriented at 90 degrees or it would not work well for her. The side opener works really well and does not cause as much debris to contaminate the food. Fortunately, social convention now requires the user to rip off the paper label before recycling the metal can, so you may as well get the paper off before opening a can. Worth the cost; ¡Get It! ... show more

  • This is the one you want!
The Cuisinart side-opening can opener is, hands down, the very best on the market. It's more quiet, runs quickly, and a good price. Believe me when I say I tried them All and none came close to the efficiency of this one. Highly recommend.

  • Pretty standard. Good purchase for the price
Works just as mentioned. Good value for price. I haven't had it long enough for its Durable but it's works well since I bought it. I love that the can is smooth once lid is removed, no knicks, not loud, easy to use, speed is fair. Doesn't take long to open at all.

  • Initially, I was a bit skeptical.
For as long as I have used electric can openers, I've always had a central complaint: the resultant razor sharp edge of the lid and the distinct possibility of undetected tiny metal shavings. None of the openers I've used have ever caused me to feel otherwise, regardless of make or model. When I first encountered a side cut opener, I was intrigued. The concept was unique enough to send me to the pantry for a "tin can" so I could look at the construction in ways I'd never imagined before. I determined the sealing method was consistent enough over a number of cans that a side cut should, indeed, cleanly separate the lid from the body leaving no sharp edges and no shavings. The proverbial light bulb came on when I thought of the way copper pipe is cut with a tubing cutter's sharp edged wheel. Upon receipt of the new can opener, I had to resist the urge to open every can I could find. But those I did open were consistently clean. The manufacturer's assurance it would even work on pop-top cans seemed almost too good to be true and in some instances, that is the case. Some can makers stray too far from conventional can sealing to allow the side cut mechanism to achieve a good enough grip to work. The pop-top does get in the way on some cans but they are still pop-tops. I am convinced and my wife is thrilled. She was close to resorting to the old hand twist version just to avoid the metal shavings concern. But the side cut opener works. It takes a couple of cans to get accustomed to can placement but once there, it's almost magic. Give it a try. You'll be amazed. ... show more

  • Would not recommend - short life!
Rather disappointed in this opener. It did a fine job, when it worked, but it's already dead. Only had 6 months before it quit on me. I used it only sporadically. The $15 one I had lasted 3 at least years!

  • No more worries!
Easy to use. No sharp edges for anyone to get cut. I have a 22 month old that likes to throw away items in trash can, don't have to worry about sharp lids any more. Thank you for this design.

  • Works great.
Easy to use. I only buy the safety openers. I had the original brand, but this one lines up more easily. It's cleaner than the other type of openers and you can use the lid to keep any remains in the fridge. It's like having a container to store the leftovers.
