  • Beautiful frying pan
Color: Red Size: 10-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
I have recently been adding some cast iron pans to my collection of cooking pots. I have learned the ones with an enameled inside are much easier to clean. I found a really firm nylon spatula that gets the crispy bits off the inside of the pan so it doesn't stay stuck to the pan while it cooks too. I have learned to use a much lower heat setting for cooking. If the recipe says to cook on medium high I set the heat for medium and watch the cooking carefully so I can turn it down if the crispies start turning too brown. I am very pleased with the quality of this pan. It is quite heavy and the instructions said not to slide it across the surface of an induction heat cook top, so I try to lift it. The handle gets hot and after surprising myself by grabbing a hot handle I got a silicone handle cover to protect my hand. The price is very good compared to other brands. I have a 10" glass lid I got to use with a different pan and it fits this pan well. ... show more

  • Improves cooking and eating experience and easier than old cast iron
Color: Red Size: 10-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
I purchased this after getting a CrockPot baking pan in the same enameled cast iron at TJ Maxx. Having used a variety of cookware in the past, I knew I didn't have the patience for actual cast iron anymore but was wanting to move away from the aluminum skillets I had. It's not an exaggeration to say that this skillet (also got a 3 QT pot) has significantly improved the cooking experience and makes better food. It has all of the nice qualities of cast iron (like retaining heat) but is much easier to clean. The CrockPot brand is less expensive than others and very nice. As others have noted, it is heavy and does stain a bit even if you clean very well. I'm fine with both of those things. ... show more

  • Great enameled cast iron skillet that works great with glass-topped electric stove.
Color: Red Size: 10-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
I love this skillet. I have a Crock Pot enameled cast iron pot, and this goes with it very well. I have cooked steak and hamburgers in it, and they were delicious. After I poured the hot grease out in a coffee can, I put the skillet in my sink, and left it there to cool down while we ate dinner. After that, I was able to just rinse the remaining debris off, then used a little bit of Dawn dishwashing soap on a damp cloth, swiped the cooking surface with it, then rinsed and dried the pan. I plan to buy another of these, if they come in a larger size, although this size was not small. ... show more

  • Everything STICKS to whatever the coating on this cast iron is, and not in a deep sear good way
Color: Red Size: 8-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
I cook mostly with cast iron, regular and enamel coated, I bought this little skillet to replace a very used little skillet I have had for decades. WHAT a disappointment, not sure what the coating is made of but there isn’t anything that doesn’t immediately get stuck onto it, even using butter, or oil, the food just gets stuck, it’s the worst cast iron I have ever used, it was cheap, so the adage you get what you paid for sticks. Crock pot should stick to making crock pots, not cast iron cookware. CANNOT RECOMMEND, it it is really cute ... show more

  • Good, high-quality skillet. Heavy duty. Easy to clean
Color: Red Size: 10-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
This seems to be high quality. Good finish, very heavy, evenly heats. Used a couple of times, no problems with sticking, no discoloration after cleaning. Look like new after use. Be aware the enamel cooking surfaces can be damaged by high temperatures. Some reviews claim trouble with food sticking in enameled iron skillets, impossible to fry eggs, not clean even after soaking, and so on. Residue can accumulate on the surface while frying and it sticks.in the culinary world this is called fond, or foundation, and is easily removed by 'Deglazing The Pan'. And as for frying eggs the correct temperature and ample oil is required. My eggs don't stick. I have fried beef, pork and chicken with no cleaning problems. My 10-inch enamel skillet still looks new after many uses. Finding cooking temperature recommendations online along with a good surface temperature thermometer may help as overheating causes most cooking problems with all cooking equipment. ... show more

  • Enameld cast iron skillet, so amazing!
Color: Red Size: 8-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
I love this skillet! I treat it like my baby, & always hand wash it right away & dry it as well. Doing this, keeps it nice for later. I know they tell you NOT to ever wash cast iron, but I am from a time when my mom taught me to do as she said, so that is what I do, & just keep them washed & ready to go. You cannot go wrong if you have never had one, & if you have used cast iron before, this one tops them all because of the coating it has inside & out. It is light weight, durable in every way & cooks quite well! It is so easy to use & maintain too. It is also so versatile, it is unbelievable. ... show more

  • All in all, very pleased
Color: Red Size: 10-Inch Skillet Pattern Name: Round Skillet
Bought this to replace my old cast iron pan that had started to flake on the outside. I decided not to use bare cast iron anymore as I’ve had such good luck with the enamel version in my various Dutch ovens. I won’t use it on top of the stove as I have good oxo non stick pans for eggs, etc. I will mainly use this new one for roasting chicken and turkey thighs, just like with the old one. I did do a large chicken breast the other day and it came out great. After I took the meat and drippings out, I let it cool completely and then wiped the pan. There were a few minor bits stuck on but when I washed it, they came right off in hot, soapy water. Due to the extra handle , it does weigh slightly more than my old one but the handle compensates for the weight. The skin didn’t get quite as brown as with the old one but I had it on 350. With thighs, I normally set it on 365 for a shorter cook time so I’ll just have to see. ... show more
