Just purchased in July 2022 - The installation directions are updated and there were no inaccuracies except that one of the two rubber washers is already installed. The flow restrictor removal was much easier now - I did it with only one pull of the needle nose pliers from the shower head piece. That's where the rubber washer stays behind. I kept the sand filter disk in the shower mount piece. There was enough teflon tape to wrap it for a second try which was successful with no leaks. The foam bag that held the shower mount piece made the perfect cushion to keep the pliers from marring the finish when tightening the two connections on the mount piece. That shower mount has a swivel ball in it, so when you tighten it on the connection, you can rotate it back into any position. It is especially nice, once installed, that you can change the angle of the shower head as it rests in the holder. As long as you place the correct fitting (the smooth cylinder) in on the shower head piece, it stays in place in the holder perfectly. That connection only required hand tightening. The hexagonal fitting goes on the shower mount piece, and that does require a wrench tightening using the protective foam bag as a cushion. Once installed with the flow restrictor removed, my water pressure was even better than my old shower head, which probably was getting clogged over the years. The design of the spray settings is very ingenious, as the water pattern changes over gradually between the 7 stops. On side favors the lighter shower and mist settings, and ends in a pause. The other side favors the higher pressure and massage, and a power setting, followed by a pause. The final power setting is strong enough to wash off almost anything from your body. I'm glad that I read many reviews first on Amazon as well as other sites like Home Depot. I think that this shower head is a really good buy, and I had no problem with leaks at all. They have obviously updated the directions, which I attached images of here. Sadly, most of the name brands I looked at cost more, and don't even have the ability to remove the flow restrictor. I'm very happy I chose this one, and I do recommend it for purchase, particularly if you want your full shower pressure. I installed it in less than 10 minutes. Thanks to all the previous reviewers for their informative posts. I just wanted to update you all with this 2022 information.

Bought this shower head because of the reviews which said it had a lot of pressure and a good massage setting. 50%. Yes, it has good pressure - after taking the flow restrictor out (more on that, below), only OK before - but the massage setting does not massage, only a strong stream of water coming out of the small ring of jets. I was going to return it because of the lack of a good massage but wife said she liked it fine - better than our prior shower head which had a decent massage. The non-massage feature is why I gave it 4 stars. Super easy to install as I kept the same hose and head holder as I had before and just unscrewed the prior head from the end of the hose and screwed this one on. It was a bit of a challenge to remove the flow restrictor as I didn't want to go at it hammer and tong in case I really decided to return. It does not look or come out like the directions which came with this head said/illustrated. It is three pieces which sit about a half to 3/4 inch down inside the head and snap together but come out one at a time, with the last piece, which fits snugly to the inside of the head, , the most difficult as it seems the tube inside of the head has a very slight taper causing the last piece to not quite come all the way out and just out of reach of a small pair of needle nose pliers. After trying to pull this last piece out with a dental pick (which had worked on the other two bits) I did resort to a tiny screw which caught just enough to pull that last piece out. (I'll store the hose away for future use as, for whatever reason, the hoses (plastic or metal clad) seem to be the Achilles heel of these hand-held shower heads.)

This was the 2nd time I bought this Couradric shower head! Note a few things here...you get one additional washer, you do not get three! You won't need anything but the one you do receive. Note as well, directions mention a white flow restrictor - it is lime green, not white. You are guaranteed a wonderful, refreshing shower with this shower head! I bypassed using the incuded hanger since we have one installed already on a rod. I simply attached the hose directly to the spout from the wall. After perservering with the removal of the flow restrictor, I'm happy. The PROS: Nice looking, and excellent water force after removal of restrictor. CONS: 1) The miserable instructions for removal of the restrictor, which are in black and white. They did not seem to apply to the model Couradic I purchased. First, I had no O Ring to remove at all. In peering down into the handle opening, all you see is a white ring with an X. I believe that is in my first photo. That was what I removed first, with a needle nose pliers. For this portion, I'd say don't be timid. You need to put in a good size screw into one of the openings on the restrictor, and bear down with a phillips head to really penetrate the opening. Just do it carefully keeping the screw straight in. Then yank hard on the screw with the needle nose, so the assembly pops out. Somewhere along the way, out came the little metal disk you see in the pictures. No clue where that figured in this equation. The 2nd pic just shows the restrictor on the flip side. The 3rd are the included instructions, in black and white. Would have been nicer to know what I was looking for. I'm a 71 yr. old woman with mechanical ability. So happily, I was able to get this thing going. And even though it's all plastic, I think it's pretty well made. CON 2) While it is termed a 7 function, I find that only 4 at the most deliver cleanly, the others were little more than a dribble, even with the flow restrictor removed. Not a bad value for the money, even with the negatives.
