We just installed this today and the hardest part was actually taking the old shower head off. The shower head screwed on easily. We remembered to use plumber's tape to ensure it doesn't leak at the attachment to the shower inlet pipe. The water pressure was good at all settings, but if you want the strongest stream, leave it on the handheld setting. Yes, the shower head is primarily rigid plastic, but it did not seem flimsy, and it looks nice. It rotates easily. It definitely seems a good value for the price. ... show more

So to start this off, I did purchase this used. The option I chose was “used-like new” on Amazon. I’ve had good luck ordering products used from Amazon and in my experience when Amazon states they are like new it general means they are indistinguishable from the new option. Anyway upon arrival I noticed some wear marks on the plastic parts where you would attached it to the shower arm. Not a big deal, and also not the reason I deducted a star as this was a gamble I was aware of whenever ordering a used product. Just thought it should be mentioned. As far as the actual product goes, it is fully functional. It works fine. I’ve read other reviews where people said their water pressure wasn’t enough to drive the shower head whenever you’ve got it set to the mode where everything is spraying at once. I however have not experienced this as I have great pressure in all 3 settings. Honestly I love showering with this shower head and for $36 (the price I paid for it), I would recommend it to anyone because it’s the best of both worlds. You get a great normal showering experience, while gaining the utility of having a hosed shower head as well. Now for the reason I deducted a star from this product. Immediately upon unboxing this product felt very light, flimsy, and just overly cheap feeling in my hand. The ultimate deciding factor on purchasing this shower head verses just an Amazon knockoff was the Delta name. In my experience Delta faucets and fixtures have that feeling of quality where you know it’s a well made product. This product lacks that. All parts, including the “metal parts”, feel very plasticky and brittle. Also the way the hosed shower head attaches to the main shower head is not great. It’s hard to get seated, and hard to release whenever you want to use it. Those two things combined are why I removed a star. It gives me the feeling that it will experience wear and eventually require replaced, which was the thing I was attempting to avoid by purchasing a Delta branded unit. Time will tell, and given the price point this particular unit CURRENTLY is at, I would still recommend it. It is just something a potential buyer should be aware of. ... show more

Okay, bought this to replace the same item I bought many years ago. Quality has gone downhill a bit. The hose (what eventually broke on my old one) is shorter and made of a cheaper/stiffer plastic, big disappointment. I would have bought something else but it is a large two head shower so I didn't want to replace both of them. Well, now I'm looking at other brands to replace both of them :-( ... show more

Works great if you don't touch the detachable shower head. The shower settings are nice, and it looks good. It is hard to get the detachable head back into place though. It wants to rotate left or right, spraying the wall or curtain. You have to forcefully pull the shower head into place. The detachable head is also really small in my opinion. The hose is rigid, and the length of the hose didn't work for me. The hose kept getting caught on our shower handle. We bought a cheaper one for $28 on Amazon that is much better than this one.
