So far I have had the iMac for about 1-2 months. It was packaged with such care and not too difficult to unbox, but do it over a rug or other soft surface, especially if you're doing it alone. It was surrounded by sturdy bubble wrap but pulling it out is a bit of a task. It has worked smoothly and setting it up was very easy. The mouse and keyboard that came with it were no Apple products but paired very easily and work well with it. The profile on the keyboard is similar to the Apple Keyboard, the mouse doesn't have all the same control abilities as an Apple mouse but it gets the job done. The screen is in perfect condition but the bottom has a few scratches in the metal and the base had a few scratches on the back that aren't visible. Audio is perfect and the speakers very strong with good base. Screen brightness and adjustment is very smooth. The screen size is prefect for having side by side applications open. Will be back in few months to see how it is holding up. Update: Almost at 1 year of use and he is holding up well!     • Poorly Refurbished, Hard Drive Failed After Four Days
When we received the iMac 27” it booted super slow and got an error on boot saying a drive couldn’t be initialized. Whoever refurbished it didn’t format the Fusion Drive properly. I reformatted and reinstalled Sequoia, still super slow, but no more drive error. Purchased 32 GB RAM and upgraded to 48 GB. Ran much faster, but still much slower than expected. Day 4, it only boots to a black screen with blinking file folder question mark. Cannot get it to do anything else. Looks like the hard drive completely failed. Returning the iMac. ... show more

    • Purchase refurbished won’t be “Disturbished”
Wow. Have been experimenting with graphics for several years on a pc with not enough ram or hd space and became quite understanding with the buffering process involved in this process, until now. For lack of a better word “damn” the Mac is what graphics’s was meant for. Purchasing a refurbished Mac was the best purchase I’ve made from Amazon since buying my first item. So if you get your iMac - and you have two HD - whoever is renewing these is not connecting the HD correctly for maximum memory - you will need to google how to do it- very simple but does take some time - you will have to enter Utility mode and restore - this will be the only way to get the newest MAC OS - ... show more

Computer is stuck on update ! It’s been stuck for two days. I can’t restart or do anything with it . Looking to return to seller , go another route UPDATE once you Google instructions on how to update the computer everything worked perfectly fine!

For my needs this iMac was slow as molasses. I returned it because it to way too long to boot. Also my sessions were freezing up. This was after boosting the ram!! Don’t do it.
