The quality of this shower head is excellent and the water pressure is really good (don't expect a power massage level pressure) but it's definitely better than most with pressure. The finish is perfect (like my G-Promise.) You'll have to attach it in such a way that the toggle spray mode pattern and logo is centered -- so pick a spot, turn it until it's tight/centered...it's going to be A LOT of trial and error to get it right .... would have been awesome if they made a mini extension that attaches to your shower pipe and than has a nut to attach this shower head for easy / centered installation like my G-Promise....esp. at this price point of $157 at the time of review. My G-Promise with a rain fall and handheld, built like a tank and all metal and has been working perfect for 6 years, was only $100 on sale! Please see the attached video for a demo where I removed my rainfall attachment on my G-Promise and put this Grohe shower head on...worked great. With that said, if you just want a high end shower head, no handheld, with very good pressure (please manage your expectation, it's not that powerful, but better than most) this Grohe is perfectly fine, competing with Delta and Moen. What helps with the price justification is the lifetime warranty on the finish and the unit function as well. In sum, this is not a so much a value proposition, it's a high end purchase where you're really paying for a classic design that will fit in with practically any bathroom design that wont look dated in the future. Grohe makes excellent, high quality fixtures. I actually recently based my entire bathroom reno around their cubeo faucets, which feel both modern yet have a timeless simplicity to them. The Tempesta shower head here is equally impressive for the price. Body is metal though I'm unsure of the actual face. In any case, metal body is harder to find than you'd think... Most shower heads are a cheap metal painted plastic. The adjustment lever on this is also really satisfying, with a sturdy click into place versus the wobbly move over you get on cheaper heads. The only caution I'd make is if you start with Grohe brushed nickel and want to mix and match fixture brands in relative close proximity, I'd think again. Grohe brushed nickel has a very very slight gold hint to it. Not as drastic as the photo, but it doesn't match brushed nickel from some other brands. The closest I could find is Hansgrohe (different company) and Axor. Also, yes brushed nickel is probably the most timeless option but if you haven't started your reno yet and cost is a factor, you should look at the price and availability of chrome versus brushed nickel. Had we known before starting on the brushed nickel path for mid range fixtures, we could have probably saved $1500+ just by going with chrome. ... show more

This shower head is a great option for anyone who lives somewhere with low water pressure. I live in the basement and the water pressure is pretty bad; a normal shower head kind of drips a bit which is unfortunate. This shower head does a much better job; the water actually sprays and I can feel the pressure of the water for the first time in a long time. The shower head itself is beautiful; it is built well and has a nice durable feel to it while also being super elegant. Installing is easy if you already have a male end to attach this to. I actually didn’t so I had to replace my hose with a shower arm that I could attach this to. I used the sealing tape when screwing this on and I have had no issues at all with any water leaking out. The pressure is great and the shower head is pretty easy to clean. ... show more

I do home renovations and I'm a big fan of Grohe because of its superior quality and design, and this showerhead is right up there with the best of them! 👏 The design of the all-metal body is premium: all metal, front and back, with just the tiny silicone sprayers coming through. It looks and feels fabulous. The brushed gold finish is beautiful and I’m using this showerhead with the Grohe Cubeo trim kit in gold—a perfect match! 💛 Grohe finishes are all excellent and resist water spots, so they are easier to maintain and last longer than most. I expect this brushed gold to stay beautiful for a long time. ✨ It's very well designed. It switches between spray modes with a satisfying click. And is easy to install (hand tighten, use teflon tape, and use a rag to protect your finish). This showerhead delivers a tighter spray. It could be used alone or as part of a combo with an overhead rainfall showered as well. The price is good for Grohe. This is luxury pricing for a luxury showerhead. As you might expect (or at least hope) from the price, this is a terrific shower head. It particularly excels at boosting the power of your shower even if your water pressure is so-so. I curious how the internal mechanism (the Aquaboost oscillation) actually works, but in any case it does. The selection lever between the two spray modes produces a very noticeable difference in spray power. The black matte finish is terrific. The construction feels really heavy duty and is made of solid metal aside from the nozzles. The lever action is smooth. Installation isn't "hard" (it's just a shower head, after all) but it's a little tricky to make sure you get the spray selection lever where you want it once the shower head is fully tightened into place. There hasn't been any leaking from the shower arm / shower head joint (make sure you thoroughly clean the shower head arm before installation). You can pay more for a shower head or much, much less. Whether the price is worth it to you I cannot say, but I can say the shower experience is great, the shower head looks high end, and I expect to not have to worry about leaking, maintenance, or replacement for a long time. ... show more

I picked this up because I wanted a simple showerhead upgrade for our apartment, and it’s worked out really well so far. Installation was straightforward and didn’t take long at all. It threaded on easily, and I didn’t run into any leaks or compatibility issues. The biggest improvement is definitely the spray performance. Compared to the basic showerhead that came with our apartment, this feels noticeably stronger and more satisfying to use. The water pressure feels fuller and more focused without being harsh, and the AquaBooster feature seems to help it feel more powerful even with the lower flow rate. I also like that the design is simple and functional. It doesn’t try to cram in a dozen spray modes or gimmicks I’ll never use. The two spray settings are enough, and both are practical for everyday use. The matte black finish looks nice as well and matches the other fittings in our bathroom.
