My first impression when I opened the box was how well designed aesthetically, it was. The shape is perfect regardless of waist size and the additional Velcro straps insure a perfect fit. The material is heavy duty yet light weight. The materials used in fabrication are all high quality which includes the Velcro, the cloth, the vinyl and the electronic controls. Nothing stands out as being cheap. I have been using my heating pad every morning for the past month to help alleviate my back pain due to spinal stenosis and spondylolisthesis. I can barely get out of bed in the morning because the pain is so bad. I put my heating pad on before I get up and it immediately begins to ease the tension in my lower back so that I can move. It has multiple settings for heat and vibration which are more than adequate. The high heat setting is almost too hot but i'm happy it is available. When it gets too hot I just select the next lower setting. The three vibration selections are adequate. This pad can also heat the stomach area very well also. I don't need that feature so fortunately you can turn that part off. This heating pad is the best design I have ever tried. It covers the entire width of my lower back. Once put on your body and adjusted, it does not move. You can do most activities without it getting in the way. It is very comfortable. The battery power lasts a very long time. I may restart the unit up to five times before I no longer feel a need to continue and the batteries have never worn down. The only negative I have found is that if you always attach and remove the Velcro from the part of the heating pad where the controls are, the Velcro on the heating pad can wear out and lose it's grip, especially if you pull the Velcro apart aggressively. This happened on my first heating pad. I was able to return it to Amazon for a refund and I purchased a new one. To avoid the same Velcro problem on the new heating pad, I now attach and remove the Velcro using the Velcro extension piece. I also remove it gently and carefully to avoid damaging the Velcro grippers. I highly recommend this heating pad for anyone suffering from lower back pain.
