I finally broke down and bought a large roasting pan after decades of splitting larger batches of food between two medium-sized ones. I needed one with vertical handles to fit my oven, and after comparison I chose this one, and I'm very satisfied with it after several uses. It is solid, but not overly heavy, and it holds a lot of food for making big batches. It is also very deep - deeper than I can imagine ever needing. It cleans easily, and if you want it perfectly shiny, a little Bar Keeper's friend works great. I have not use the rack yet, but it is very sturdy. I'll try it the next time I made a pernil for a family gathering. This is an excellent pan at a good price, and it's everything I need it to be. I'm glad I did not spend more. ... show more

This is excellent quality. I have purchased large roasting pans in the past (at least a dozen times) but they were all fails or cheaply made. I'm a retired chef so I appreciate workhorse cookware. After being burnt by yet another pan (purchased locally), I scoured this website and took a chance on this one. I LOVE it. It's tough, durable, dishwasher safe, distributes heat well and handled the Thanksgiving turkey with ease. One thing I liked was that the handles don't stick out so the pan fits nicely in the oven. The price is excellent as well. Here's the deal: In cookware I will only use a few times a year, there's no way I'm paying $400 for a high end roaster.. Finally, I have a great roaster. I've been wanting to get a small roasting pan for years to replace the one my wife inexplicably threw out after the nonstick surface of the rack peeled off. I never found one that I really liked until now. This one doesn't have the sloping sides my old one did but I'll live with that. I decided to go stainless steel instead of nonstick since nonstick just doesn't last. This one (14" x 12") is a good size for everything I might roast including a normal size turkey (no birdzilla for me) and it's just a tad bigger than my old one. I like that the rack has no cross bars on the working area since those intersections are notoriously difficult to clean. I haven't used it yet but plan to soon. It's clear that this is well made and will outlast me. The reason I took off one star was that the first one I received had scratches on the rounded edges of the bottom of the pan. I got a replacement via Amazon in one day and the replacement was pristine. Such a beautiful pan! I can't wait to try it out. ... show more

seriously, I have no idea what I was doing without this pan. Sometimes saving money and using an old roasting pan is ok but I got tired of lifting 20lbs turkey with 2 spatulas from the pan, juices everywhere...so after 15 years, I decided to be nice to myself. I searched and searched for the rack to actually sit higher than a 1/4 inch from the bottom. This one is simply priceless. The handles are super sturdy, 20 lbs bird fit tight but no problem. The bottom of the rack lets the air circulate and that bird was done in 3 hours!!! I was staring at the thermometer in the breast, took another 2 out to double check and it was done. The juiciest turkey I have ever eaten, too. We ended up eating at 230pm because of that lol. The handles on the rack itself lifted the bird out of the pan easily. I actually carved the bird while on the rack and I am just so happy about it I could talk and talk. I let the pan cool off, then soaked it along the rack in a soapy water, did a little wash and it was like before. The oven was clean as nothing splashes out because of the high walls. It is on the heavier side but it cooks like magic. Oh, happy me! ... show more
