Product was fine for 3 months or so. Used to heat a kettle for tea in the mornings. Today, the top shattered. Nothing fell on it. No extreme temperature shifts. Wouldn't recommend.

Heats up fast on the 750W setting. Works as i hopped. Wish it was a little smaller for my use. I have cooked on it as a hot plate works well also. Cleans up easy and stores until next use.

So far, this a great buy. I’ve looked for something this price point and size for quite a while. I use it for a stovetop espresso pot…. My only criticism is: keep an eye on it or set a timer if you are busy.. it has no timed off or safety indicator beep/light.

The media could not be loaded. The first time using it and it literally melted the border that it got stuck to my pan. After I left it to cool down, the ceramic exploded.

Plugged it in on high, got red hot in 2 or 3 seconds. It has only two settings. The housing did not get too hot to touch, just warm in the time it took to boil the water. The center area heats red across a 6" diameter, as I prefer for my 6" tea pot. The 1" perimeter band, surrounding that 6 inch center area remains unheated. Perfect.
