Although the magnetic plate sticks well to metal surfaces, you can touch it briefly with your bare hand after it's been plugged in all night long. No way this reaches 500°. Maybe 150° tops. During cold weather, it won't even keep my motor at room temperature. Total joke. Don't buy

I purchased this thinking it was not the same garbage Kat's heater that I bought from TSC. I bought one from them, it failed a month later. They replaced it and the new one failed a month later. Amazon is good about returns so even though it doesn't make much sense I'll give this one a shot.

    • Product fails after one month
I got the product at the beginning of January and it quit functioning in early February. I am unable to get a response concerning any warranty.
