- INSTALLATION GUIDE: Installation hardware kits are required and sold separately, each D-ring will require one cable rope (DO NOT use nylon ropes, they break easily!!). Connect the other ends of cables to existing poles, trees or wall with shade sail hardware kits, high quality ColourTree hardware kits and cables are strongly recommended for best performance and appearance.

These sun shades are really well made and durable. They also ship really fast. We have ordered two and they both arrived in less than a week. This company also has a huge selection of sizes. We ordered the standard size so it was cheaper than the custom sizes but if you needed a custom size they will have what you need. The first one we bought has been up for two full summers now and has held up through a couple of strong wind storms (50 plus mph) and an unexpected spring snow storm this year that left a foot of wet, heavy snow on top of the shade and it held up great! We just ordered another one this summer. Ours are up from about May to June and stored in the winter. We installed them with screw in hooks and pea cord that we bought at Home Depot, which has worked great for us.

Measured good and went up easily. Only problem we have is the UV light exposure from the sun deteriorated the material of the shade and it ripped. Originally thought the wind just got to it but when I took it down it would fall apart with a slight pull in my hands. Might last longer if it’s not a permanent install but who puts these up and takes them down constantly? I would not recommend for desert use.

After hanging at a canted angle, the sail looks amazing! Great quality material with strong reinforced hanging rings. The temperature is noticeably cooler under it. I got a custom made size (Right Triangle 15'x22'x26.6'), which is definitely more expensive. But I believe it is well worth it and we will use for many years to come. I am not paid endorser; I just really love this shade sail!

Was easy to fix the angle is not a right angled triangle so be aware you need to have the right points to hang it I just used a nylon cord from home depot to string it to my trees with some anchors
