I bought this exact shade in spring 2022. I use it between metal shades for the horses to provide more shade as AZ sun is brutal. 4 years n it’s going strong so I bought another one to place elsewhere. Quality is excellent. Stands up to wind, sun and rain.

The best one out of four different vendors!

This shade is the ONLY one that has held up to the tough climate of summer in the souther US. Our summers are easily 112 degrees index with UV damage beyond belief. I've purchased roughly 4 from different vendors and this one stood the test. I stretched it out as tight as possible using ratchet tie-downs and it never gave in or looked stretched. I used 200 lbs climbing hooks against the buckles and this thing held it down. I bought the white version and zero sun discoloration, puncturing, fraying or ripping from the metal hooks. Wind resistance is solid and the coverage was great at 7 feet from the ground to proect my homemade sun chairs. Make sure you use tie-downs as rope can be tight if used properly, just not a consistent hold.

Perfect...except for the one thing you'd never expect.
It's durable. It lets the air through so it doesn't flop in the breeze. it shades the sun without blocking out all the light. It looks great and works great. But...what's the one thing you'd never expect from modern capitalism? It's bigger than advertised! Mine was supposed to be 10' by 16'. It was 10'6'' by 17'. That would be fine, except the posts were set for 10 x 16, maybe a little bigger, but this one is so much bigger it's loose. You never expect something to be bigger than advertised. Usually, if it's really as big as they say, you're pleasantly surprised. Am I right ladies?

This sun shade was okay. When new, it’s great. It shades well, is lightweight and the sizing was correct. Unfortunately it has only lasted me 2.5 years. I take it down when it’s very windy, like more than 20/25mph but it started getting a couple of tears in it recently and today it split apart with 15mph winds. I am in Florida so the sun is hard on these, but I wish it would have lasted longer than this. Mine was a 10x20 grey.

As others have said, use turnbuckles. We are really happy with the outcome. We used 4x4s for the posts which we sunk in concrete (in flower pots) 2x4s for the frame. Unfortunately it has been excessively hot & humid since our purchase, so we’ve been hanging out under the deck where the fan is! We have noticed that the floor of the deck upstairs is a lot cooler when the sail is up. This sail may be a little higher in price, but we are glad we went with it. The sail stretches a little with heavy rain,. We just take down one end & attach it to the opposite side so it just hangs down. It would be awesome if it was also waterproof.
