  • INSTALLATION GUIDE: Installation hardware kits are required and sold separately, each D-ring will require one cable rope (DO NOT use nylon ropes, they break easily!!). Connect the other ends of cables to existing poles, trees or wall with shade sail hardware kits, high quality ColourTree hardware kits and cables are strongly recommended for best performance and appearance.

Helps beat the heat in Texas. Stylish and functional. We used eye bolts, predrilled holes with similar size to bolts and then hand twist them for the finish. We attached 2 sides to our house and the other to our fence. We used bungee clips/D rings that twist directly on the shade. We extended it with left over metal chain from our dining room light. Pliers allowed the metal to bend enough to attach it. The additional bungee clips/ D rings with twist opened enough to attach to the eye bolts. The media could not be loaded. We were not supposed to get a storm this bad, or we would have taken it down. However, that being said, we were shocked beyond belief that this sail made it through a huge downpour, and winds that produced a tornado just to the north of us. This sail is best erected with heavy duty hardware from a hardware store. We bought the so called heavy duty hardware available here online. It was cheaply made, and failed within days. I bought this June of 2021. It’s been over my swimming pool in the strong Arizona sun everyday. It’s held up to wind that tore a sail of a different brand in two that was beside it. The media could not be loaded. Had a Hibachi backyard party for my daughter and the chef’s controlled fire rose 9’ up to my sunshade. The fire melted part of the sunshade but it didn’t destroy it. I’m still using the sunshade and purchased more to reduce the strong rays from the California sun.

Best investment for shade and making better use of our patio space. Does not come with hardware so keep that in mind!
