I have colored my hair as well as my teen daughter's hair with Colorcharm. I LOVE it, especially since it's THE same brand the salon I've been going to for 15 years uses the exact same brand. They would charge me $200 because I have a lot of hair and it was longer then. My daughter's hair is long so I purchased 2 boxes for her, but only needed one in the end. I love Wella and have used it for a few years now. It’s so much better than store brands — always leaves my hair looking and feeling healthy. BUT, since they redid the formulation, the colors come out much darker. I used to use medium brown in about any kind of hair dye, including Wella. Now, medium brown (4N) turns my hair almost black. Light brown (5N) turns it dark brown. I’m considering ordering dark blonde next, which is just goofy. My hair is a solid medium brown, but 4N and 5N are both way too dark. Also, the color does fade more quickly than I’d like. I used color protection shampoo, wear a ball cap outside, and do not wash frequently, so not sure what’s going on.
