Insert your 4 "AA" batteries, place some chips in the cup, turn the dial to your level of flow, push the trigger & light the chips. It's the only way we drink bourbon and whiskey drinks. You will not be disappointed. Smoke your own drinks in the privacy of your own home.

This kit comes very nicely packaged and would be suitable for gifting. I rated it a 4 but that is because I am unable to do partial stars. I would give this a 3.5 at best. The reasons are as follows. There are a LOT of alternative cocktail smoker kits out there that require you to put the wood chips in a strainer that fits over the glass and then you light it with a butane torch and voila you have smoke in your drink. Well, this one requires you to attach a tube to the smoking base and then attach the hose to a lid for the glass, then attach a vessel to hold the wood chips, then turn it on, and then light the wood chips. This device also requires 4 batteries, and you have to hold the tube and lid in place over the glass so that you can maintain the seal as it will move. So long story to say, this is a lot of effort in comparison to the other methods to get the exact same result. The kit is nicely packaged and if you have a lot of time, this is a conversation piece, but just for a nightly cocktail, it's a meh for me due to all that is required. Hope that helps you today.

I first tried a smoked cocktail at a local restaurant and loved it. This machine is very easy to use. It includes 4 different types of wood. We tried it with whiskey and it was perfect.

Smoker itself is great, but it did not come with all the parts listed. We didn't receive a lid although it's listed as coming with it.
