  • A must have addition if you're serious about growing
It's a portable AC unit designed for grow tents. And it does it's job better than I imagined it would. For instance, I have a double tent (4x8) and it would reach 85 degrees in there with two lights running at 50%. So at 100% I'd be pushing 90-100 degrees in there. So I had no choice but to try the Terraform 8. And I've found that so far I'm up to 70 & 80% of each lights Max output and the temperature fluctuates from 74-78 while my Terraform 8 only goes up to level 2 (out of a possible 10) so to cook my environment I only use at most 20% power while often just 10% being enough to bring the temperature back down. So if you have a 4x4 you should be able to keep the level at 1 and it'll do it's job. I imagine level ten would cool an entire room. It is rated at 12,000 BTUs which is significant. Now, as for the pros and cons of this things. Mostly pros. But there are a couple cons that are within noting here (You're welcome) by reading the comments I've read that some people can't get this to do everything it advertises? They don't read well... You need the AI+ controller to get full usage out of this and I would agree but I also have the AI+ controller so I'm good there. But yes, it's needed for precise controls and it's worth having. And people also recommend not just flat out letting the AI take over the schedule. That will be true for the first few days but once it begins to learn, I then let it take full control and it's adjusted beautifully, perfectly even. You can tweak how it works and I'm time you'll have it dialed in. Just be patient. Took me about five days to get it perfect while others just have up on the process. Finally, you need to sit it up high like on a five gallon bucket or something because it needs to drain... A lot. As in you'll fill a five gallon bucket in less than a week during the summer so prepare in advance and it won't be a "con" later. The intake fan will have condensation all over it as well. That's pretty much everything there is to know. I'll make a YouTube on it once AC Infinity says "please do" 😎 and this isn't a paid review unless you're talking about the $600 I paid for this unit. Amazon card so I'm still paying for it. But it's the best purchase over made in years! ... show more

  • Need to know b4 buying
WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN i would have been better off to buy 3 diff things for the $600 dollars this cost ALL FUNCTIONS ONLY WORK WITH THE AI CONTROLLER. Depending on what u have plugged in to the same breaker mine has locked up multiple times. Today it locked up running the air it was set at 68 degrees an had it 64 degrees in my room, every other time, ( which has been prolly 4 or 5 more times in the 6 to 7weeks ive had it ) it just stops working, its still lit up showing a temp, but its wrong an u cant push any buttons. If u trip the breaker on the plug it starts back up, if ur outlet is behind ur full tent like mine get ready its fun to move i doubt any1 will pay attention to how much other stuff is plugged in on that breaker untill it does what it did to me (kicking off) many people like me use a powerstrip for all the small stuff an the wall for this thing (hince) all ur stuff on that 1 breaker its probably going to trip it lol not sure if a diff wall outlet is a diff breaker in the same room or not. Also let me say when it tells u its 5 in 1, it may do 5 diff things but not at the same time the only multi thing it does is to switch hot to cold automatically. So like now in ohio humidity an temp both r skyrocketed, i can run the air or the dehumidifer 1 or the other if i choose to dehumidify it does run the air, but i have no control over how cold the room gets it kicks off based on humidity so whats the point in the $600 piece of equip if it dosent fully control anything maybe if i could hook it to my 69 pro plus controller it may have more options idk of coarse like every other company in America they want u to buy the ai controller too which i refuse after this experience i would recommend getting multiple smaller pieces of equip heater, dehumidifier, an digital portable ac unit then u actually could fully control ur enviornment i have an older ac infinity tent fans light an humidifier along with the 69+ an that stuff is great bulletproof it seems which is y i bought this terraform 8 and dont get me wrong when it runs it runs good puts out alot of cold or heat an dehumidifies good but i dont trust it at all now every morning an evening i go in an touch a button just to c if it beeps if it dosent its locked up they advertise it like its a 1 stop shop for keeping ur environment right an so far thats not the case and im very dissapointed in it also very dissapointed i couldnt buy the terraform 7 without the ai sh** and it has the multi ducts, thats what i really wanted when i got this but they didnt have it anymore of coarse they were out of stock probably dont even make it now lmao ... show more

  • This is a cool machine! Upgrade your indoor garden.
This beautiful machine has arrived at the perfect moment. We are fighting heat like never before and within 30 minutes of setting up this bad boy, our lung room was at the correct temp and the tents were balancing much easier between the temp and humidity. We set our up to drain the water out into a bucket to make life easier and it's working great. It's a little loud for my sensitive ears but so far, we are thrilled to add the machine to our grow room. It's energy star rated also, that makes me feel a little better when it's running all day. We plugged it in to the 69Pro Controller with no issues and it works with the AI Controller also. It does come with the window attachment to make installing it easier than trying to McGyver it in to the window. This can draw a lot of amperage at one time when the compressor comes on, we recommend putting on a dedicated breaker for safety, always. safety first. You will have lots of configuration options for how to set it up for your room or tent. ... show more

  • Smart control, very quiet fan, fair price, plenty power for keep cold or hot any room
This A/C keeps your grow dialed in with just one duct, its AI automatically balances cooling, heating, and fresh‑air exchange to keep your tent right where you want it, if you’re drying, you’ll just need to switch to the two‑duct setup manually. Pick your ideal temp or VPD and the system handles the rest swapping between cool, heat, and fan on its own. It even recycles excess water back into the condenser, so you won’t be draining it nearly as often. ... show more

  • Single duct won't hold my tent's temp
Got this to run climate control on a decent sized tent. The whole reason I picked it was the idea of hooking up one duct and letting it auto switch between cool and heat to keep a set temperature. That was the selling point for me. Problem is the cooling just can't keep up in my space the way I expected from how it's described. On a warm day it runs and runs and the tent temp barely drops. The single duct setup that's supposed to do the job doesn't actually move enough conditioned air to hold my target. I ended up messing with duct routing constantly, which isn't how the all-in-one thing was supposed to work. The heating side does warm things up, and the self evaporative part meant I wasn't dumping water all the time, so that was fine. The app connected without much fuss too. But none of that matters when the core cooling job isn't happening. For its main purpose of holding a stable climate in my tent, it fell short, and that's the part I actually needed it for. ... show more

  • Keeping my plants happy!
I recently bought TERRAFORM 8 for my 3x3 grow tent and it’s been a solid upgrade to my setup. This all-in-one unit handles cooling, heating, dehumidifying, and air exchange through a single 8 inch duct with smart AI that auto-switches modes to maintain perfect VPD and temps. Super easy to integrate with my other AC Infinity gear. Overall, if you’re tired of piecing together climate control, this delivers reliable results Highly recommend for dedicated growers worth the investment for the convenience and performance! ... show more

  • beware of heat mode
AC works great, but heat is very unpredictable, it will blow cool air for minutes totally disrupting the environment and slowly struggle to blow hot air, other than that it is very good the AC works amazing but i am having to buy a separate heater for consistent heat because without failure, once an hour, the environment drops 10 degrees because homie is asleep at the switch and blows like 75 degree air ... show more

  • Possible issues, but cools very well!
Ac has performed flawlessly for a month, today something glitched in its controller and when I came home from work temps were around 105. Unsure how long it was out, but I don’t fully trust it now. I am not connected to a controller so maybe linked it would have reset itself. I had to unplug and reset unit to restart. Unit is continuing to blow cold but certainly would recommend a high temp alarm if using. ... show more
