I departed from the usual brand of smoker I've use for 40 yrs. but after the first use, I think this one may be better than what I've used in the past. The grate area is larger than I expected. The barrel compartment holds the heat at a consistent temperature and far better than my last smoker. I noticed during the initial heat tempering it held a consistent temp. On my first use I used less charcoal to get to and maintain the desired temp. Steaks turned out perfect with less oversight and management, I think due to the steady temp. I do a lot of grilling. I don't know yet about the long term function of this brand or this particular model but after first use I'm very pleased with the purchase of this smoker. Update : 2nd use .... very pleased with this smoker. It holds a consistent temp level for extended periods of time without the need to monitor the amount of wood or charcoal. Update : After grilling steaks, chicken, 'burgers, and smoking a 17 lb brisket, I'm still amazed at how this smoker holds a consistent temp. I don't know if it's the brand, the particular model, or I just got lucky and this one fits together better than most, but it does a great job. I can't say for others but for me, price and performance make this a bargain.

Really good deal. Large. Deep cooking area. It is lightweight. Really need to cure it well. Put you something extra in the bottom for a heat shield. Paint came off in a few uses. Not bad for the money. A little tedious to assemble alone.

This is the second side smoker I`ve had and does exactly what it`s intended to do. My last Side-Smoker finally rusted the whole bottom out and was time to do it again. This one is a bit higher priced than I really wanted to spend. All-in-all?, I`m happy with it but make DOUBLE SURE to purchase a Cover for it to keep it out of the weather but the cover needs to be the proper length to fit.

Made pretty cheaply bellows smoke regardless of chimney metal coating flakes off when its hot coal tray bent and rusted from the heat same with the smoker tray and door good for hamburgers and hotdogs but not good for ribs, roasts, or the like

The size and ease of assembly is the only thing this has going for it. Mine is not as shaky as the one in the video. The bolts are poor quality and most the heads stripped when hand tightening. There are 1/8"-1/4" gaps between the top and bottom sections. Some better quality bolts and some gasket tape to seal it up better and this might be usable as a smoker. Started to seal the chimney but must cost too much for the manufacturer to completely weld the 2 pieces together. Going to have to double gaskets on the firebox. Also with have to rethread the chimney cap bolt as it stripped when I removed it to place the gasket.

I have hosted many cookouts and put the smoker through the ringer. It's still durable, cleans up perfect, and is always ready to hold the perfect temp and steady smoke flow. The design that it has the offset smoker is amazing and for the money spot on You get more than what you pay for
