The product is great! But only if you have filled in hair. My hair had platinum highlights and underneath dark blonde natural. My hair turned pink! Hues of purple. I immediately put on another box and put on for another 10-15. Purple hues still. So I'm experienced in all this so I went to Sally's and got demi permanent level 8Gold. Worked like a charm and I've gotten so many compliments of my hair and thinking it's natural. So I saved you a $300 color correction if you have platinum hair. Fill the hair with pure gold or a filler and the red will deposit great. Love the conditioner in this and wish I could buy it. Hair feels soft and don't feel like there was any damage. Would recommend. I'd like to add that my natural dark blonde underneath was a perfect color on the box and that's my goal for all over over time. Fingers crossed ... show more

I have dark blond/gray roots with highlights. I've been going to the salon for years, but the price is getting so expensive and now with the gray, I'm having to go more often. So I've been on the hunt to do my own roots and prolong my visits. I finally got the nerve up to try this. It did cover my grays, however it also really darkened my highlights, especially the highlights that were dry and overprocessed. Hopefully it washes out some but I even put coconut oil on the ends and didn't saturate it, so this was just from rinsing my hair out! It is more of a dark blond/light brown, nothing like the picture. I'm not sure I would use this again unless I can figure out how to avoid the highlights. Maybe I try with more saturated coconut oil on them. I would recommend starting lighter as other reviewers have said. ... show more

This works very well and last a long time. Is not harsh at all on scalp! Bought 8A medium cool blond and the color is perfect. I use to color my hair with permanent color that I mix for sensitive skin and that was sort of harsh on scalp for years and my sister told me about this and I am very happy with it. Since they discontinued Saharan Rose, I hoped this would be similar and it is. I think the color & health of your natural hair will affect the final Look a great deal. My natural strawberry blonde has gone mousy since I’ve aged, And I’m turning 58 this month so I did something fun. It is not my usual routine to color my hair. Because my hair is generally very healthy I used suave clarifying shampoo And did not follow with conditioner, let it dry naturally and then. I really like this hair color. leaves my hair soft. Tip: to cover grays best don't do the "g" or "a" shades. you want natural shades which are just the numbers. I really like this semi permanent, non-damaging hair color but I feel like the color description is a little off. I thought it would just tone my hair to a cooler blonde but it feels really closer to Brown and a medium brown at that . Next time I’m going to order a lighter shade of blonde. I do like that this covers up your roots in a really natural way, especially if you have gray sprinkled roots. The good part about it being Demi permanent is usually in about 4 to 6 weeks it should return to your natural color, So if you don’t like it you can always try again. ... show more
