Covers Greys, Seems Permanent, not Demi Permanent

I have very dark brown hair with no real highlight color ie. neutral that always goes scary jet black when I color it with a brown that matches my natural brown. (When I would color my hair blonde, always went for cool, ash color) So, decided to try this in medium ash. Although, it did initially make my hair very dark (too dark), it lightened up pretty quickly and actually seemed to lighten my hair (in a good way). Covered my grays which was the main reason I am starting to color my hair and made them a pretty shimmery subtle highlight. I product says Demi permanent/washes out, but it seems permanent to me, none of my grays have shown through yet (other than roots of course). Not sure what product you are supposed to use as root touch up as most of the ones I have found say they are permanent, so I guess you just use this product also as root touch up. I have been usuing John Frieda Gloss every other week and it has also covered the root grays and added additional pretty subtly hightlights which isn't as harsh as the hair color product.

Natural looking coverage

I’ve used this product many years. I suspect I’m all gray under there now, but it still covers. What I’ve always loved about it is how natural it looks. It doesn’t show up as one flat color like permanent dyes do. Easy to do yourself. I did so for years. Now my hairdresser applies it for me.

I have been using this hair color for years. It’s great I have no bad things to say about it but, I’m worried that it will go out of stock eventually so I would recommend buying two or three boxes at a time just to cover yourself.

Cool Brown was Red?

I got the medium cool brown, and this was so red for me. My roots were really red, which was confusing as this dye is supposed to be cool tone. The color lasted well, but I'm going to look for another brand as the color wasn't what I was hoping for.
