I got the 42" fan, black. I got this as a vine item thinking I'd put it in, review it, then eventually replace it with a "nice" fan, but this bad boy is staying! I'm so impressed with how quiet it is and with all the features. I thought the remote would just be something to lose, but it comes with a holster that you can just screw down next to your light switch. It has six fan speed settings and three light settings (daylight, natural, and soft), plus it has a 1, 4, and 8 hour timer function, AND you can switch the fan from forward to reverse and back ALL from the remote. And the remote remains simple, yet. The only thing I don't care for is that it doesn't remember your fan settings when you turn it off from the switch. It remembers your light setting, but the fan remains off regardless. Not a big enough complaint to cost a star. One last note: I had to figure this out by playing with it, but in order to get the light at the setting that you want, you have to cycle the "LIGHT ON/OFF" button (top right on the remote). Each time, it turns the light off and you turn it back on and it's at the next color setting. As long as you turn the light back on within, say, three to five seconds of turning it off, it will cycle to the next one. Wait longer and it will come back on to the previous setting. I don't believe this was in the instructions, which is why I'm leaving it here. Enjoy! ... show more

This ceiling fan was an upgrade compared to my previous fan. I like the size of this fan as it cools off the while room. Also, I like the different light modes and the various fan speeds. The remote easily controls the fan. This ceiling fan was easy to install and is a beauty.
