I assembled, disassembled, then assembled again in less than 40 minutes. Why the disassembly? Because I didn’t follow directions and didn’t join the blue and black wires under the wire nut, thus the light kit was without power. I really liked the bracket that goes to the ceiling box, in that it allows you to hang the bracket and motor with a hinge-like support while allowing you to connect the wires without a helper. Tip: make sure you check that your electrical connections are secure by pulling on the wires after you’ve screwed them into the wire nut, and wrap a bit of electrical tape around the wires and onto the nut, just for good measure. The LED bulb that comes with the light kit is smaller in size than a normal bulb and puts out about as much light as a 60 watt incandescent bulb might generate in a warm white temperature (photo makes the light look cooler than it is). I bought this fan to replace the one my mother has in the living room. The old one had finally burned out the motor. I gave it one less star because it is not for anyone who has never installed one before. Not knowing how to do it will be challenging. I just installed this, so no idea about the longevity. But so far, this is an excellent purchase! For the price, I have zero complaints. The quality is good, it looks nice, all parts were included/intact, and instructions were clear. Don't be put off when this little box arrives. I thought I made a mistake when I saw how small the box is but this fan is great in a small bedroom. It is so quiet you don't hear anything at all and the light is plenty bright. It doesn't have a remote which I didn't want anyway since I operate it with a wall switch. Although this fan looks great, it arrived lacking some of the longer screws necessary to get the fan anchored in the ceiling. Finding these screws has not been easy so, of the two fans I purchased (both from Amazon) this one hasn’t been installed yet as I hunt for the essential screws.
