Got the jumper kit for my truck and used it to air up my tire once, and jump my friends car once after that it stopped charging. I tried to get a refund or a replacement, but Amazon wouldn't let it happen. The company that sold me this tried their best to help out but they can only do so much.

    • Very badly designed - takes FOREVER to charge
I purchased this as an emergency jumpstarter for a very long road trip I just completed. Fortunately I didn't have an occasion to use it, because I think I might have been in trouble if I had. First the pros: It is much smaller and lighter than other jumpstarters, and includes a 200w AC outlet, as well as an air compressor and an actually quite useful digital tire pressure readout. But the small size comes at a BIG cost. Because it doesn't have an inverter built in to the unit, the only way to charge it is via a USB-C cable. Now, think about how much power goes through a USB-C cable versus a standard 110v AC plug. Yeah... about 10 TIMES less! So charging the unit from the 10.8v it had coming out of the box to 12.5v took 36 HOURS! I had it on the road for about 4 weeks when I decided to check it. It was down to 10.3v, despite not having used it at all. The other thing is that it may be small, but the size and shape is really awkward - it just didn't seem to fit anywhere. It has four "handles" - only one of which is actually a handle, the others being there for decoration mostly - and, more often than not, I'd pick it up by a handle that wasn't a handle and end up dropping it - after it pinched the tips of my fingers. The small battery leads have a propriety input, so that if the unit doesn't have enough juice, you cant use them as battery cables with another battery (most other jumpstarters are like this as well). This is the second jumpstarter/power bank by CAT I've owned, as I must say I am NOT impressed. I absolutely will not buy another CAT branded jumpstarter. ... show more
