  • More than pleasantly surprised :)
Style: Micro Fine Crosshair Reticle
I have been a lifelong Leupold customer, but have also accumulated other makes as needed. I recently commenced on an update on an old friend (a Marlin 56 Levermatic - .22LR), which had a Simmons "22 MAG" 3-9x30 on it - a WalMart special. It worked fine,, but now, I wanted something better than a "big box store blister pack scope for $49", but I also didn't want to drop $800+ on a 45x Leupold Competition scope.. I'm no cheapskate by any means, but I prefer to keep the scope price commensurate in regard to the rifle value. So I paid a visit to the rimfirecentral forum, and after reading the various scope reviews, the consensus was quite favorable in regards to Mueller, and as it was in my budget and had features I was looking for (see below), I decided to purchase one. First off, was quite pleased with the ultra fine reticle with 1/8 moa dot. I didn't want bells, whistles, mil dots, illuminated reticles, range estimators or other stadia. Just a simple target non-duplex cross hair. Second, I was extremely pleased with the 1/8 moa resettable target turrets. Third, the 30mm main tube, and fourth the 44mm objective. It's a nice compromise for a 50mm, without settling for a 40mm and so keeps the scope a bit closer to the barrel. I used B-Square Sport Utility rings: 30mm Medium Height 22 mount (3/8") on a simple 3/8" dovetail base that was already mounted on the receiver.. This left me with almost 10 millimeters of clearance between outside of objective and barrel. I decided to sight in first at 50 yards. I fired my initial group, made the calculations using the Accuscope smartphone app (deluxe version which includes 1/8 moa adjustments) and I adjusted of elevation and windage. Bullseye. Followed by 4 more. I removed and set turret knobs to zero. Ok, so now I decided to resight at 100 yards. I fire a group of three, calculate elevation, adjust turret. Next shot, in the bullseye, followed by 4 more. Back to 50 yards. Reset turrets back to 0. Fire 5 rounds right on top of original group. So, to make a long story short (a little late for that!) I am more than impressed with this scope. The sight image is bright, crisp and clear. All knobs firm but easy to manipulate, with loud positive clicks when adjusting. It returns to zero. All around solid construction. I would not hesitate to purchase another, and as matter of fact I will when I get my .17HMR (Savage Mark II BTVLSS) later this summer. I highly recommend this scope to others. Mueller, I hope good things become of the company, because they are starting off on the right foot - a quality riflescope that is pleasantly affordable. Two thumbs up! ... show more

  • Great scope so far.
Style: Mildot Reticle
So far this scope is clear. Controls feel great. Picks up light as well as 40mm lense will allow. So far if this scope holds up I will buy a few more. I want to try the dot with fine cross hair reticle next time. But I like this mil dot reticle too. The 32 power is nice. For the price this scope is good. Very clear focus as opposed to most of the competition. I am so far pleased. This scope has good clarity at all magnifications. Side focus is good and feels taut. The field of view distance, eye to scope distance, is sensitive. So far this is the only weakness. But it is a very manageble issue. This is a great scope. For 10x more $ a NightForce competition scope would be much better. But I am very pleased so far with this scope. I will keep updating as neccessary. I shoot paper and vermin at up to 500 yards. So I need the power. ... show more

  • Excellent Value, Great scope! One caution
Style: Mildot Reticle
This scope is a value, with one caution. I bought one to mount on a 22 rifle used for target shooting. Great clarity, smooth adjustments of all knobs through out their range. Held zero after several range trips, and I was pleased enough to order a second one for another rifle. Number two arrived and all adjustment worked smoothly, glass was clear so it was mounted in quality Vortex rings with ring screws torqued to Mueller specifications. When I got to the range the first sign of a problem was that the side focus parallax adjustment was almost impossible to turn. Did get the parallax set, bit the scope would not hold zero. I checked to assure that the rings were torqued evenly and then began backing them off. Once the rings screws were loose the side focus was smooth again, but, of course they would not hold the scope even on a 22. so, even properly torqued quality scope mounting rings put pressure on the scope internals. There was no visible damage to the scope tube. The first scope was so good, that I knew that there was just a problem with this one scope. Amazon made it easy to return the faulty scope and had it's replacement in my hands quickly. The replacement scope is as perfect as the first one. Regards ... show more

  • a lot of glass for the money
Style: Micro Fine Crosshair Reticle
I first bought another brand scope that was half the money and 24x zoom. At 24x, it was quite blurry. I ordered this Mueller 32x and have been very happy with it. You get what you pay for, but you don't have to go to the really big bucks to get high zoom and clear glass with the Mueller. I love the ultra fine reticle. Hold-over guys won't like this scope since it doesn't have holdover lines on the reticle, but I prefer to adjust for elevation using the elevation turret so this scope was perfect for me. I mounted this on my .25 Benjamin Marauder. I didn't use the included rings since I needed dovetail mount rings. It holds zero just fine and the clicks of the turrets seem very reliable (an adjustment of 3MOA gives the same elevation change every time). Remember that this scope is 1/8MOA for every click unlike many scopes that are 1/4MOA/click. The finish could be better (the green ring (sticker?) near the objective lens is a little rough looking). The main thing is the glass is clear and the turrets work well. It is a great deal for the money. ... show more

  • Great Scope, Great Value
Style: Micro Fine Crosshair Reticle
Very clear, easy to adjust, easy to zero, images can get fuzzy at the highest magnification, but backing it down a little clears that up. I bought a cheaper scope that was not as clear. This is a step up. The cheaper scope was usable, but this is way better. I also have a vortex and leupold that have lower magnification and this is as clear. The leupold may work a little better in low light, but not much. The higher power of this scope really adds to the ability to be accurate as the target is much larger. I am using this on a custom 10/22 and I can clearly see the number 10 at 50 or 100 yards versus seeing a vague circle. I highly recommend this scope. It was recommended to me by another competitive target shooter and he did not steer me wrong. ... show more
