This has just been a great instrument for me. I don't have a lot of practice time, and will probably never become an even passable guitarist, but this baritone uke is unpretentious and friendly, with rich, mellow tones, and a built-in pickup and tuner that seem to work perfectly. I haven't yet replaced any of the strings or needed to do any other maintenance beyond simple tuning. I really appreciate all the accessories that came with it, the only additional purchase I had to make was a better strap (I'm 6'3", and I felt like the strap that came with it was slightly too short for me, also, it was thin nylon, so, tended to chafe my neck -- still, it was surely better than nothing, although your mileage may vary). The zebra wood is gorgeous and the sound is full and resonant. The finish is very glossy (which is fine, but matte would have been fine too -- the gloss does show fingerprints more, but that doesn't bother me). Tuning is easy, and the gig bag is plenty for carrying around this lightweight instrument and its accessories. For what it's worth, I'd suggest you research the wood options before buying any instrument and maybe consider not buying those that are endangered (like some of the Ebonies and Mahoganies). As far as I can tell, the Zebra wood is fairly plentiful, it looks and sounds great, and seems solid and strong, even when I use it for some hand-percussion. A friend of mine is a professional musician, and he couldn't stop complimenting me on the sound, fit, and finish of this uke, and he could barely believe that it cost less than two hundred beans. All in all, it has been a great purchase, and its mellow sound has helped me through many of these unsettling quarantine nights. I couldn't recommend it more! Grab one for yourself, learn a couple-three chords off the interwebs, and then just, as they say, enjoy the mellow goodness!

The product is of good quality and its finish is neat and beautiful. No obvious blemishes. It sounds pretty good, you have to tune it frequently, but I estimate that it will be until the strings are stretched to their final tuning. The tuning machines are correct, a little small for the force they will have to do, but so far, their performance is correct. I don't know if they are “Aquila Strings”, as advertised in the sale notice, the ones that were placed, I don't have as much experience to recognize them with the naked eye or by their sound. The additional set of strings they provide are "Caramel". The tuner works great, and he brought spare batteries. With care you can change the batteries without any problem. I have not checked the EQ at the moment because I do not own an amp. It came with all the promised accessories. The carrying case is correct and will protect the instruments during transport. It came with the pins to place the strap or band in place, this is very good, because otherwise it is an additional job, not very easy and delicate or you have to have them placed with someone with experience and it has a cost, for sure. It came in a very short time (considering that the order was made from Italy). The packaging was correct and careful. I recommend your purchase because the price is fair and you get a good instrument for what you pay.

The ukulele itself is very pretty-happy with that part. Said it would come tuned-it did not. Strings that came on it are actually not ukulele strings and will not tune correctly, and also will not stay in tune. Had to order a new set of strings, and hopefully the issue will be resolved. Oh, and you can't contact Caramel for customer assistance-they will not deal with you if you purchased on Amazon and not directly from them.

Having fun with my Caramel Baritone uke. Comfortable to hold and I like the larger size which doesn't cramp my fairly large hands when pressing the strings. We "serenade" at a nursing home and I like the security of the metal button holding the strap as we edge around the beds and equipment. Handy having a tuner built into the uke's body. I especially like that I can use the guitar chording which I've known since childhood. I don't have to learn new chording which would have been required with a suprano uke. I'm very happy with this purchase as you can see in the photo with my horse and another friend who plays his guitar.

THIS IS ONLY A QUICK AND PRELIMINARY SET OF REMARKS....I WILL UP UPDATE.... I just recieved my Caramel CB 103 kit with gig bag and accessories. The uke was in it's gig bag. It arrived in good condition, in spite of being a in a box inside of a HUGE box with nothing to keep it from rattling around loose. The strings were slightly loose but tuned up quickly with the built in tuner. There was no appreciable fret buzz. The tuner had the batterys installed and turned on with the push of a small button. The little screen worked very well to indicate a GREEN in-tune condition with a slight turn of the tuner knobs. I was pleased to see the strap buttons were installed. UPDATE: 12-20-20 I am having a blast with this baritone uke! NO ISSUES! The only snivel I have is with the gig bag. It is very good scratch protection for the uke but IT WILL NOT PROTECT THE UKE FROM IMPACT DAMAGE. This is ok considering what I paid. But, I made up two uke-shaped backing plates from padded 1/8" hobby store plywood. Not perfect...But a improvement. This uke is worth investing in a hardcase until you out grow it.....Which will take a while. BOTTOM LINE: IT'S A VERY GOOD DEAL FOR THE BEGINNER.....AND MAYBE BEYOND!
