  • Amazing Value!
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I've played guitar and ukulele for about 57 years, and of course have been through quite a few instruments-- enough to know a good one when I hold it and play it. This Kmise concert-scale banjo uke was my first venture into the "banjolele" world. It is very well put together, plays accurately, feels great, and sounds very nice! (The only modification I made was to remove the back cover, loosely stuff a couple of plastic bags (such as you'd get when buying things at Walgreen's or Target) in there, and then replace the back cover, which served to nicely tone down the otherwise loud voice of the instrument. I just don't think you could ask for more in an instrument-- and at this price it's an absolutely insane value! Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Nice little instrument
Size: Tenor Banjolele
The banjolele is really cool. It does take awhile for the strings to stretch so as to stay in tune. The string setup was spot on. And after a couple of weeks it seems that the skin is sounding better too. If you are the type that likes to track your order (like me) you will be disappointed. But it will arrive by the stated date. There was no shipping damage. The packing was not what you would expect. It was a small box put in a large box, with no stuffing. It worked though. I am a happy customer once again. I have purchased 4 ukuleles and been happy with every one of them. ... show more

  • Good starter banjo
Size: Full Size
Got this banjo 3 years ago. Never played before so didn't want to spend a lot. I have been very happy. It needed new strings and the frets had to be smoothed on the sides. It stays in tune. Sound quality is good. Quality of actual banjo is good. Plays a little flat on some frets. If you can find someone who works on banjos should be an easy fix. I am very happy. Discovered I like playing and I am upgrading This Christmas. I am still a novice but would recommend this banjo for beginners. ... show more

  • WORTH THE PRICE - A FIVE STAR Bargain!
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
Great instrument for the price. Worth Five Stars! The shipping took over 6 weeks and was incomplete - did not come with advertised bag and tuner. Had to contact Amazon - but response was good and timely. Got a bag within a reasonable time and the tuner about two weeks after the banjo was delivered. I was not that upset as it seemed that everyone was trying to make it right. Had to laugh that I was sent an email to track the turner - but all the information was in Chinese and I could not figure it out. But the instrument works as well as could be expected. Putting the bridge on was easy to do. Just loosen the strings some and slid it sideways under then flip it so that it is upright. Then push the strings with your fingers until each one is cradled in the 4 groves on the bridge. Slide it so that it is 8 and half inches from the 12th fret and then tune the stings. The first several times that you play it you will have to keep tuning it - but it seems to hold better now that time has gone by. I guess the strings need to be broken in... becasue it stays in tune much longer now. Over-all - a sensible buy for non-serious players. It sounds good enough. I would assume that those that coast 2-3 times more may have a better sound - but for my lifestyle and purposes this is good enough. ... show more

  • bango
Size: Full Size
Great beginer bango that i got for my husband for xmas. he has been wanting to learn and he loves this bango. he said he was researching them and this is the one he wanted. I read all reviews on so many of them and really just went by best review . I wasnt sure if 5 string or more or less strings and had to do a lot of googling since i know nothing about bangos. This was the jackpot according to my husband. thank god lol he loves it so much i had to share a review about it. he says its sturdy and plays well. everything you need to start out was there. i did read another review that suggested better strings so i did buy better strings and stuck them in with the rest of the things that came with it. and i have to say since december he has gotten good. he watches a guy on you tube that does lessons and it finally sounds like hes actually playing an actual song lol and its only been a month! and he never picked up a bango in his life! ... show more

  • Unique voice
Size: Concert Banjolele
I’m not a uke or banjo player. I play guitar in Irish sessions and someone brought one to the session. It was loud enough to hear over the rest and it looked cool. My instrument came in good condition without a case or gig bag. I didn’t get the cool package with all that. I tuned up and started playing. It’s got a consistent tone with a unique voice. I don’t think there’s much usable neck beyond the third or fourth fret. Not much sound anyway but it seems most uke players are always using first position chords. That being said, I’m satisfied with the instrument but sorry I missed buying the package with the case, tuner and whatever else they included. ... show more

  • Inexpensive, well made, great sounding, fun little banjo
Size: Concert Banjolele
As a life long musician, I have to say this is a very well made, great sounding little banjo ukulele. Simply install the bridge with the easy to follow instructions, tune the strings and you’re ready to play. Plays like a ukulele but sounds like a banjo. Perfect instrument for beginners.

  • Zero stars.
Size: Concert Banjolele Kit
I bought this as a Christmas gift for a beginner. It "appears" this may have been a returned item by the condition of the banjolele box itself. The battery was already in the clip on tuner. OK on to the fun of being embarrassed. The D string tuner just turns at the knob and doesn't turn the peg. The E string tuner has distress marks on it. The inserts of the tuners (blue part) are plastic btw. The bridge was jammed halfway over the nut and peghead. The bridge also has a hairline crack in the top. I know, you get what you pay for but this is really bad. Part of it is the build and parts, the other part of it is gift shame, when the person opens the big box and the banjolele box is bent up and squished. RETURNED ... show more
