The instrument and everything in it is absolutely above and beyond for the price and I really love that about this, it comes with absolutely everything you need to start and the bag is very nice. This is my first time learning string instrument and so far it holds a tune very well. The instrument it's self is absolutely beautiful and the sound is just incredible. It's very light and easy to hold in the hands. I have smaller hands and so far this has been very comfortable for me to play and start learning on since I am a beginner. I really love it a lot and I can't wait to get better at playing this Baritone ukulele.

This is priced way to low to be anything good but it was also priced at a point where if it was just OK it would be worth it--that's why I bought it. I just wanted to dip my toes into this uke thing. I was pleasantly happy and amazed to find it is actually quite good. I'm a beginner uke guy but have played and owned several guitars over the decades--crappy big box store guitars and quality, luthier-made guitars. I can't figure out how Caramel makes a profit with this. It is really well made and I had no problems with lamination issues or other flaws of craftwork. It sounds really good too. The hardware is perfectly adequate. After about a week of breaking it in and constantly re-tuning, it stays in tune. The built-in tuner (which I had no expectations of) is great! It is so easy to tune it right up. This is the first time I had a tuner built-in and I love the convenience. I've only played this acoustically, haven't plugged it in, don't plan an ever doing so--I've played with others and I am very happy at how this projects it sound, not only does it stand up but it stands out while still blending with other stringed instruments. For the critics, please take into account the cost of this uke. But, I gotta say, it sounds much better than a cheap uke. I have loved learning to play it, as it is a baritone, the fingering is just like the guitar with the lower two strings removed. I may eventually upgrade the strings and possibly lower the nut but, out of the bag, it is really nice and fun to play. For some reason, because of the size, I find myself reaching for it more than any of my other guitars when I'm bored and just have a few moments to plink around. I love this instrument. I am very pleased with it.

When I saw this beautiful, Ebony wood instrument on Amazon, I had to have it to add to my Ukulele collection. So far I have a Makala Mahogany and Rosewood Concert C Soprano Ukulele. A Lava U Concert C Tenor Ukulele, and now this lovely Caramel Baritone Ebony Wood Concert G Ukulele. It arrived very well packaged. The instrument, and everything that came with it, is of excellent quality. This company has a history of selling amazing instruments, made of excellent woods, perfect craftsmanship, the hardware is top notch. They even put Aquila strings on it. The tuner is built right in so that you don't have to worry about finding or buying a tuner in order to tune your instrument. It has a gorgeous Ukulele strap, something to hang the Ukulele on the wall with if you want to, extra strings, some tools, extra batteries for the tuner, picks, and some extra replacement pieces, all of which are described on their Amazon store page. They even included a polishing cloth for it. The gig bag is fine quality and so is the little storage bag for the extra parts and accessories. It also has a cord to plug into the Ukulele and an amp if you have an amp, that is. I have a small Honeywell amp. The amp I have has a place for a battery, but I ordered an electric adapter cord for it extra. So when I hooked up my Baritone Ukulele to that, the sound was incredible. Whether you play it with or without an amp, you would be extremely pleased with this instrument. A lot of care has been taken in the making and the presentation of this beautiful, beautiful instrument. The notes are different on it than what are on the Sopranor or Tenor Ukuleles, but it's not that difficult to learn how to do if you play a Ukulele already. While I was waiting for my Caramel Baritone Ukulele to arrive, I went onto youtube and looked at various reviews regarding Caramel Ukuleles and was so encouraged by what I found. These good folks use various types of quality woods when they make these lovely Ukuleles. I saw some that featured Zebra Wood, one that featured Marblized Maple Wood, and one that featured A Rosewood and Mahogany Wood. I think one was of Spruce also. I knew if my Ukulele sounded half as good as theirs, I would be happy. Well it sounds just as good as theirs did. I can't say enough about this beautiful Ukulele. Amazing quality work and excellent quality extras to come along with it, and the price is much less than you'd expect to pay for such an amazing quality instrument. Thank soooo much Caramel!

Mine was a customer return at a considerable discount. I checked it out. Found one problem with a tuner. 5 minute fix. I’ve yet to play it extensively. But what I did do impressed. It looks good. Sounds good. Has a case and all the goodies. All it lacks is a coin battery for the electric pickup system. I wanted acoustic ability. The electric was extra for me. I’ve got full electric guitars if I want to rattle the windows. I’m very impressed with this uke. Mines a 30 inch four string baritone. They also make a six string “guitauke” on the same box and neck.

After doing 3 metric tons of research online, I finally reached the decision to buy this Caramel Eboy Baritone Ukelele. Wasn't sure what to expect really, because I've never bought this particular type of ukelele before. I have used and purchased probably thousands of different instruments over my lifetime, but never a baritone uke. Man, was I surprised. A lot. Like... surprise after surprise. Firstly, the uke came REALLY well packages and protected. Then, you get past the generous packaging and look at it in real life, and you're taken aback at how PRETTY it is. Then, you tune it up and pluck it for the first time, and you hear the rich, warm tones coming out of the thing. Built-in tuner works GREAT and even I can see it. they gave me an extra set of button batteries for it. Tuning mechanics seem fine so far. The strap buttons came already installed! Gig bag is nicely padded, although slightly different than what is shown in the picture. They trhew in an extra set of strings, picks, micro-fiber cloth, truss-rod wrench (yes, this thing has a truss rod), etc. Even the inexpensive strap they threw in, I like and use. It's pretty, too. I am just trying to tell you all that you probably won't be disappointed if you go with this one.

I received my baritone Uke today and as I am tuning it up and letting the strings stretch, nothing hasty here. The third string, G, unravelled. It did not break, too much tension, it just simply unravelled. The sound was great, I may have been an octave low, but what a beautiful noise! When I went to restring the baritone uke, I saw that I was shipped an extra set of string for a STANDARD uke; gCEA. Totally useless on a baritone! Luckily, I had some low G tenor strings on hand that I could use. So, now, I have a larger tenor Uke. Which is not what I wanted, but will work until my baritone strings come in. Caramel, you could do a bit better on package QC. I like the instrument, but I already have a few tenors... Update: 10 APR 22 Since my last review I've purchased some Baritone strings (D'Addario Clear Nylon) because Amazon said I needed them, and who am I to argue with a man I put into space for fun? Anyways, what I think of Bezos is irrelevant. The proper strings on this Uke make this one magical instrument, it is a complete joy just to tune it and strum an open G chord. I have not jacked it into an amp yet, she such a beauty acoustically right now. Also, I don't own an amp, nor am I good enough to broadcast my inabilities loudly. Enough said, I LOVE THIS UKE!!! Construction is solid, sturdy and even though the sound holes are small, it still sounds great. Some of my 6-stringed friends were impressed with it, but their snobbish towards anything less than 6 strings. Even after I probed to them I can make the SAME noise/ music as them with less. It's like trying to convince a Harley guy to ride a Honda...

Well... I had one of these for about an hour before I boxed it back up & returned it. I liked the way it looked, thought it sounded great & was actually disappointed I had to return it. First, when I got it, it seemed to me from the way the ends of the uke's box looked, that I had received someone's return. So when I opened it up, I discovered the reason it had likely been returned - that is, the tuner would turn on but was not "hearing" or "feeling" any notes. So it just displayed the "idle" screen. I tried everything... holding the on button for a few seconds, repeatedly hitting the "on" button, removing & replacing the battery, etc., but nothing would get it beyond the lit-up "idle" screen. I was going to jump right back on here & order another one & try again, but saw two red-flags. The first was AMZ says "THIS ITEM IS FREQUENTLY RETURNED... The second was there was "ONLY ONE LEFT"... Those two combined made me very leary. I'm thinking the "one left" was also going to be a previous return. I loved the look of this uke & thought it sounded good. Oh, I just remembered, the strings were nearly in tune when I received it (another red flag) & after playing it for about ten minutes, I realized the strings had already been adequately stretched (by the previous purchaser) to the point that once I tuned them, they stayed tuned. Brand new uke srings require frequent tuning - these did not act like brand new strings on any of my 15 other ukes. Sad I will not be able to order one of these from AMZ again, but I might look to see if there are other retailers who carry this item...
