I have played guitar for decades, but this is my first ukulele, and I love it! The glossy finish and the light-and-dark grain of the ebony wood make it so much more beautiful than the flat finish and solid color of even high-end ukuleles. It has great acoustic sound, and the electric sound is surprisingly rich, not tinny like saddle pickups often are. The output through my little Fender Frontman amp is amazingly powerful. With my amp only on 2, the sound fills the room. Plus, it has a built-in volume control and bass, midrange and treble tone controls. The 18:1 gear ratio tuning heads make tuning very accurate. And the ukulele comes with everything a beginner or a professional could ever need. A padded soft case (which would cost $30 separately), a neck strap, extra strings, batteries, and bridge string pins, a cable with a right-angle connector (allowing the plugged-in ukulele to be placed on a stage stand), even picks and a ukulele chord diagram book. Not to mention an extremely reasonable price, free shipping and delivery within three days! I highly recommend this ukulele.

Seems excellent and stylish for the relatively low price point, I reach for this instrument quite frequently for soft jamming in the living room and trying out ideas. The supplied strings are not holding up very well so be prepared to replace them soon, but that's no big deal - you may have a different type that you would prefer anyway. (I'm a fan of the Aquila Red Ukulele Strings, consider them when you are ready for a change.) Tuner is convenient and works well, and the preamp has controls that will allow you to dial in a sound you like if you are plugging in.

Now, this is the classiest little ukulele I have ever seen. I love the beveling for the armrest and cut away. The shape is very elegant, sleek, inviting and comfortable to use. Caramel, I would love to see this shape done more often on your ukes! Two thumbs up! The finish is gorgeous and easily the most flawless, smooth gloss I've ever seen on a caramel. The instrument feels very sturdy and well made. I love the wood combo. Just gorgeous. And she plays like silk! The strings are just so beautifully balanced and smooth to strum. She has a velvety tone, compared with my other ukes, nice resonance, a bit of a quieter sound, and definitely a pro quality, even sound. I hope I can save up enough to buy the boccotte one from this set, before they start raising the price lol. Accessories are pretty typical for caramel. If you've bought others from them, you've already got more accessories than you need lol. I'm not going to go into those. I like the new gig bag style better though, then the others they've sent. But it does not have a pocket, so keep that in mind. Last thing I wanted to mention is that I live in an exceptionally cold area and had this shipped in the middle of december, during a deep freeze. I was a little concerned about the headstock being damaged if the strings got too tight from the cold. But caramel had slackened the strings plenty, so it arrived safely. I was very please and relieved. In closing, this was a big gold star, caramel! I'd love to see more designs like this one. She is a work of art and my new favorite uke. Previously, I had ordered myself the spalted maple and the koi ebony tenor ukuleles from caramel. I was honestly a little disappointed by the aesthetics of both. This new model more than makes up!

Beautiful ukulele that sounds really great. One minor defect in the finish about the size of a grain of rice. It wouldn't be so noticeable except it is a white gouge in the red/orange finish of the beveled edge so it really draws attention. I love the beveled edge for my arm, makes playing very comfortable. It is probably the #1 reason I chose this model. The A string started to fray after only a few hours of playing and the product description doesn't give much information about which type of strings they use on this model. Says "carbon fiber", not sure what that means here, possibly fluorocarbon? Product does come with an extra set of strings. Most fret edges are very smooth but the 2nd and 3rd fret bars are slightly lifted on the top edge. I don't have the tools to properly assess or fix the issue. For now it is still playable although my fingertip sometimes catches under it while sliding up the high g string, kind of annoying. The built-in tuner is very handy and though I probably won't plug it into an amp very often, it's nice to have that available. The cutout is neat but also not something I really need as I don't play on those highest frets. Overall I really like this ukulele, it will certainly get a ton of use.

Absolutely beautiful! This is one of those rare occasions when the item received looks BETTER in person than in the photos! The tone is wonderful and rich, and well worth the premium over the garden variety tenor ukuleles available - most of which are laminates. They look ok, but sound a little flat and dead. They are good for what they are (I have a few of those as well). This is high quality in looks, finish, and sound. Big plus that the package contains everything for the price - case, onboard tuner/preamp, capo, extra set of strings, strap, even extra batteries! Well done Caramel!
