  • Awesome Cute Versatile Banjo
Model: B806
Love it. I always loved the sound of banjo, and wanted to learn to play, but normal banjos were more expensive and heavy, and I didn’t know if I could be committed to playing for a long time. This banjo is small and easy to carry around. The price is also much more affordable. It has the same tuning as a normal banjo, so you are able to use this for practice and play all the tunes of a normal banjo. It also sound great, and the construction is solid. Doesn’t feel like a cheap banjo at all. This is now my favorite instrument to play every day, and it is so much fun. I learned cripple creek on it, and I love how it sounds. Finally my dream of being able to play the banjo is becoming a reality. ... show more

  • Fantastic small 5 string banjo with resonator, gig bag, and accessories. It's very cool!
Model: MB803
This is built every bit as good as a full size banjo. It has a resonator, nice inlays, quality tuners. I tuned it to open C tuning which is 5 frets up from standard banjo and it works fine. It stays in tune and is easy to play. It plays sloppy in open G tuning, so be sure to tune it up five frets to open C. Big difference in sound. I sometimes take mine to bluegrass jams along with my full size resonator banjo. When someone calls out key of C - this baby is perfect. Key of D requires a capo only on the 2nd fret. I bought mine for travel and for armchair playing. It's a quality instrument and suitable for adults. It would also be a good beginner banjo for a child. Previously I bought a slightly smaller one that was less money but no where as nice. I sold that one to buy this one. This is well worth the difference. Note that it's slightly longer than it's competitors which is nice. ... show more

  • Nice instrument, takes some doing to set up.
Model: B805
This is a nice banjo, but takes some doing to set up. No instructions came with it. Banjo action was too high so needed the coordinator rod adjusted to lower the action. The tailpiece set screw nut was missing, got one at the hardware store. The electronic tuner was inoperative. The finger picks included were child-size and too small for an adult. Had to fiddle with head tension for best tone. If you buy this banjo, Google some videos on banjo setup and you shouldn’t have any trouble. I didn’t have any difficulty setting up this banjo, but a beginner wouldn’t know how. Mulucky should have included an instruction pamphlet. Banjo plays fine and sounds good. I’d rate the instrument as a 4, value as a 4, for beginners as a 3. ... show more

  • Awesome little banjo, it actually has an armrest
Model: MB803
The media could not be loaded. I have played Bluegrass banjo for years, and the older Iget the heavier they get all my banjos are 13 pounds, so I decided to purchase one of these mini banjos, and this look like it might be a quality made banjo in fact it was it’s one of the only mini banjos that offers an arms I like that, and like some of the reviews have already pointe out the areas that can be improved, the neck on this one that I received had separated where it connect to the pot from the fretboard so I had to take it apart completely and force glue into the crack and then clamp it down for a couple of hours and the problem was fixed, the turners were adequate but I wanted guitar tuning pigs onit so I took them out and drilled out the holes larger and put guitar turning pegs in their place now I have built banjos and worked on them all my life so I don’t recommend you doing this unless you have some woodworking skills, I also adjusted the tension on the head since I had it apart, I also redid the bridge a little bit too bulky so I took a 16th of an inch off the bottom, I also couldn’t get the fifth string to give me a clear sound so I cut the fifth string pip almost even with the fret then took a file and cut the groove a little deeper so the string rest squarely on the fifth fret and that’s solve that problem, and of course I got a new set of strings 10 to 24 bronze I intend to play bluegrass at a standard G turning and it worked out I played the high break of the lonesome Road blues it sounded great, the video I’m going to post is an Irish turn I composed from a typical Irish jig that sounds good on a five string banjo and last but not least I did put a rose transfer on the head stock I didn’t quite get it centered but it still looks better than just a bear wood, but this is one awesome built banjo the neck is a beautiful piece of straight grain maple the Ebony fingerboard with a diamond inlays very nice touch, I also use a special treatment on the fret board since I had it off and I polished the Frets while I had it off they had something on them I don’t know what but I cleaned them up, it would’ve cost me twice as much to buy the parts to build one of these little banjos and it probably wouldn’t have been as good as this one so if you’re looking for a mini banjo even if you have to do a little bit of set up you’re not going tobeat this one, they are awesome ... show more
