Good cheap bench. It does stand up vertical on an end on its own which is nice. How to make it sturdier and not wobble: The bolts they include for the seat and back are much to small in diameter for the hole and bushing or spacer. That that bushing (little Grey spacer thing that goes in the seat and back) to the hardware store along with the provided bolt and get the same length bolt but get the biggest size that fits in that bushing. Mine had almost no play or jiggle to it. Once I swapped those bolts out the bench was solid as a rock. Also crank that joint tight, the bushings turn on the bolt so bend make it as tight as possible while still letting the pad move semi freely. ... show more

It works well and easy to adjust, but the seat snapped a little the very first time I sat on it. I’m not super heavy and wasn’t using weights yet. It hasn’t bent any more since then

This bench is great for bigger guys like myself. Thick square tubing, welded together makes this thing strong. It feels very sturdy unlike the cheaper benches I've bought in the past. Assembly was simple and everything you need comes in the box. The only con is that it doesn't decline. I don't to decline presses but for those who do that may be something to consider. well built but poor quality control for this product lots of scratches and gouges. Even had to bend a metal piece with plyers to make it work.

The bench looks good and is nice and smooth when you adjust the upper and lower portions. However, the adjustment mechanism / guide rail is off center and makes the bench unstable. It’s fine to sit on but as soon as you start to move it jiggles back and forth. My bench has a seemingly permanent lean to one side, on the first day of use. It says a weight limit of 300 pounds but I wouldn’t use any weight on it. ... show more

I don't know what all the negative complaints are about this bench works great very sturdy looks good the only complaint is the top backboard seems to lean to the right and if they can send me a replacement I will be very happy
