Love the size and look of this umbrella. It's really sturdy and heavy. Canopy is thick. I think it will last a long time. Very easy set up. I would have given it 5 stars except the cantilever cover is seriously cracked. This did not happen during shipping/delivery because the box was not in the least bit damaged. I Called Amazon and they're replacing it WITHOUT ANY problems. They also arranged for free pick up because this umbrella is REALLY heavy. If the replacement comes with no damage, then I'll probably give it 5 stars.

The umbrella is great. Provides an extended coverage of shade. Very durable and strong and stays firm in the wind. I also purchased the base with the small wheels for easy movement from the same company. I had issue with the item that was my fault. The connection cover which I assume is soft metal cracked on our first use. You are supposed to extend it all the way up before opening the umbrella. The company provided a great customer service and shipped a replacement part the next day. Can't be happier. Thank you for the great item as well as customer service.

The 9x12 umbrella shades my entire six person patio table. It’s extremely sturdy. It wasn’t hard to put together, but you need at least two strong people to put it together because it’s tall and heavy! We love it.

We were trying to think about the best way to get a cover or something over the furniture and give us more shade. We looked into getting a gazebo, which was pricey and was heavy and had so many pieces to put together. Then thought about an awning, but worried about it pulling out of the wall. Then I checked about umbrellas. I didn't realize that they came so large and square-shaped. This one is a 9'x12' and is beautiful. It covers all the furniture and very shady. It has a wind vent at the top that lets air blow through without causing any "lift" plus it keeps the air moving and doesn't build up heat. Another thing I LOVE is the lights. I didn't want to have to run power cords everywhere. This umbrella has a solar panel at the very top to recharge during the day. There are 2 UPS charged devices you snap (just one) on the main arm and use to control how bright you want the light. The other device just hangs around fully changed inside the house in case you need it. And the lights are nice. Not too bright but still plenty to sit outside and enjoy the night. There are 3 settings for the lights. All and all, this is better than we thought it would be. The price was great, considering how much the gazebo and awning would end up being. NOW, very important...it does NOT, I repeat, does NOT come with the base. It comes with a heavy metal X-type base that can be used to screw into something or put into cement, but will not hold up the umbrella on its own. We did have to order the base that was suggested and that worked out fantastic. Of course, that makes the setup a little more expensive, but it's perfect for what we wanted. We do lower the umbrella when there's going to be strong winds, but have left it up during regular, non-gusty rains and it was fine. Even sat out there while it was raining sipping on a toddy and enjoyed it. And it comes with a cover to slip over the umbrella. So, TWO THUMBS UP!!

Everything is good and as anticipated, with one exception: I had a 10x12 deck, and I couldn’t fully open the umbrella because the 9ft side requires at least an additional 2ft for proper installation.
