Set name: 2.64 GPM with Pump
The first F10 Pro I received was a faulty unit, had an internal gas leak, and burned up on the inside when I turned it on. My first clue should have been that the gas dial spun 360 degrees and didn't stop at the side-to-side marks. Technical Support was great and sent me a replacement unit. I hooked up the replacement unit to my garden hose today and it worked great when I first turned it on at the lowest gas setting and at the lowest water setting. I used it to wash dishes at my outdoor sink. Each time I turned the showerhead button on, it clicked, lite the burner and hot water came out almost instantly at 120F. When I turned the showerhead button off, the burner turned off. I then turned the blue water dial to it's highest setting and the electronic ignitor would NOT light and only cold water came out. Then I moved the blue water dial to the middle and the electronic ignitor lite the burner again. So, I'm guessing there is a built-in "hidden" feature to use cold water only when the water dial is turned to the highest setting? I didn't see anything in the manual that states it, but it's actually a nice feature as I won't need to disconnect the whole unit if I want to only use cold water. Either that, or it's another faulty unit? I don't know? I like it that way, so I'm not going to complain about it for now unless the unit stops working. I just wish the user manual had mentioned it. Also, the diagram in the manual says to increase water, turn the blue knob toward the narrowest point of the blue line, but when I tried it, it was just the opposite and increased water when I turned the blue knob to the widest point of the blue line. Same with the white and red gas knob. I used a permanent marker on front before realizing the instructions in manual has it reversed. The LED display screen was unreadable in the day light, even in the shade, and when I put my hand over it to shade it more, it was still difficult to read, but I could tell when it got hotter and colder by feel as the thin plastic handheld showerhead got hot in my hand or cooler (the showerhead is thin plastic so it's not going to hold up in the desert sun/heat for very long, but I like that it has an on/off button and two different spray patterns, which is difficult to find in household handheld showerheads). I haven't tried the pump yet as I wanted to see that the unit worked with the garden hose first, as that is the way I'll use it the most, and then I will test the pump later and do a updated review. But for now, I've only used the replacement unit once and it seems to work good and provide instant hot water at 120F at it's lowest setting. I have an indoor tankless water heater in my home (different brand), and it doesn't need any electricity or batteries to work. It turns on the electronic ignitor by water flowing through it and turns off so many seconds after no water flows through it. I like the water flow method to turn on the electronic ignitor much better than the using batteries or electricity. I have an inline scale inhibitor filter on the cold water side before going into my homes tankless water heater, as I learned the hard way with my first tankless water heater that scale build-up will cause it to stop working and shorten the lifespan of the unit. In addition to the scale inhibitor, I flush it every 18 months using a sump pump, and recycle a citric acid/water mixture through it for 1-1/2 hours to clean all the scale off the internal copper tubes. I highly suggest putting an inline scale inhibitor and an inline RV multi-stage water filter on Camplux's Outdoor WH to keep the copper tubes from clogging internally for a longer life span. I only have an inline RV multi-stage carbon water filter on it for now while testing the unit for the first time, but I plan to add an inline scale inhibitor later in addition to the RV multi-stage water filter, as soon as I can figure out how to do it, as I'm not a plumber. I also bought a hand cart from Onsen Products specifically designed to move around portable outdoor water heaters easily. I wanted mine to be portable so I could move it around the yard for a future outdoor shower and take it camping by wheeling it onto a trailer. Right now I just have bungie cords holding it up till I can figure out a better way to lift it higher and secure it better. It works for now and I'm HAPPY, and hopefully SAFE. I was so scared to turn it on after the first one caught on fire, but the replacement seems to be working as designed. And today was a windy day and it had no problems igniting. I'm not sure about the durability and value for money as I haven't had it long enough to tell. I might move it away from the plastic wash tub a little more as summer gets hotter as the vents are on the side, but, the showerhead hose isn't long enough to move it much further away.

Set name: 2.64 GPM with Pump
The heating unit works great. The setup was simple. I am using the unit to heat up a 50 gallon portable hot tub. It heats up my tub to 104 F in 20 minutes. I am very pleased! For my application the pump get to warm, but it wasn't setup to pump water over 110 F. To my surprise, the hot water hose could not handle the 145 F water and it melted at the fitting. Again, the hose was not designed to heat a hot tub, and no one take a shower with water that warm. I replaced the pump with a Shurflo 12 Volt RV Water Pump 3.0 GPM - 4008-101-A65 / E65 & 1/2" and it works great.

I love my Camplux! It's perfect for my "redneck hot tub"! I strapped a 20# propane tank to my dolly and hung the Camplux above it. It makes a perfect, easy to move system I use to fill the soaking tub I set up on my patio. The heater is super simple to use and makes very hot water! I have it set on minimum water and maximum heat after filling a bit of the tub with cool water to make sure it's not too hot for the tub material. The low water flow ensures it will come out as hot as it can get. I also added a weight to the end of the hose to make sure it stays in the tub while filling and a piece of pool noodle to make sure the metal hose doesn't pinch the tub material & make a hole. One thing though, it shuts down after maybe 15-20 minutes unless you move the heat dial a bit (I don't remember seeing that info in the directions). The heater shuts down, but cold water still goes through, which I believe is a safety feature, so if you aren't paying attention, your hot tub can be filled with cold water. I just set a 15 minute timer on my iphone to remind me to go check the Camplux. Overall, this works perfectly for me and my "hot tub"! Highly recommended.

It was fairly easy to set up. I'm pretty happy with the hot water. With both knobs at max, the water flows fairly quickly and it's hot enough that I can't hold my hands under it for long. After it passes through the 6' of garden hose to get to my sink, it's cooled slightly, but I can barely stand to keep my hands under it. The only slightly serious bad thing about it is that the heat coming out of the top is intense. I could broil a steak on top of this thing. There is a photo of it attached to the side of a tree. I'd think this is a fire hazard. I was planning on mounting it to the outside of a structure, but I've got to come up with something safe. One minor problem that would be easy for them to fix is that the water inlet connects to a fitting that doesn't turn freely. So if you run a long hose to the unit, you've got to spin the entire hose to screw it in. My solution was to put another small fitting inline that gave me a freely spinning connector for the hose. Another minor gripe that I have is the manual, but virtually ALL manuals have this problem if the product could be dangerous if used by idiots. Once the informative information was added, the lawyers got hold of it and put extensive Warning!/Danger!/Caution! text throughout, making it very difficult to pick through it and find actual information. IMO, this is self-defeating, because there came a point where I couldn't find information on how to work the thing and just decided to try to figure it out on my own.

This is our second one of these. Our first one lasted for several years, but one we bought less than three months ago has already stopped igniting. We've used it less than 10 times. Full propane tank, plenty of water pressure, new batteries...waste of money. I emailed Camplux describing the problem. They called me promptly, but I was not able to talk at the time (taking the kids to town, plus I was not in a position to go through troubleshooting). We decided on a day for them to call back. They did--at 6:30 in the morning (they claimed they were in eastern time zone but I don't believe it). My wife answered and asked them to call back in two hours. They did not. The next day I got an email asking me to rate my customer service experience as if it had been completed (which, in my opinion, had not). Today I returned to the site to check on any warranties (there are none). I clicked on the "support" button and found that my account had been suspended (see attached photo). As if it isn't obvious, it's just another brand selling junk that usually works but sometimes doesn't, and customer support doesn't matter when you have the cheapest product on the market. As for the heater itself, I checked everything--I measured my water pump flow (which was more than sufficient) and switched out parts from a previous heater (same model), put in new batteries, tried other propane regulators, and used a brand new propane tank. For starters, the propane solenoid on the new heater wasn't working. After putting a replacement in, it started clicking again, and even lit once (briefly) but stopped working. Water flows, I get a spark, but no flame. Propane is not moving through the system.

I set this up the day it arrived. I had ordered another product from an unrelated company and was disappointed and I expected no more from this product. What a wonderful surprise! I had instant hot water and it went on and on! It was easy to set up, easy to use and pretty lightweight. I had some questions about the brass twist thing at the bottom and if it was weatherproof. The support man was very knowledgeable concerning the product and knew what I was talking about when I asked him about the brass twisty thingy at the base of the water heater, (Water drain for storage or freezing weather). I recommend this to anyone wanting instant hot water. I will be using this for my tent campers to enjoy. WARNING: Do NOT let a child operate. The water gets very HOT!

It works for a gas grill propane tank. It is something that you have to run water through completely to get unit to ignite and heat water. Works well. As soon as you switch water off it turns off the flame very well. The shower head/handle supplied has a button style switch. This unit is impressive.

We are using this as an outdoor shower at our cabin. Our water pressure exceeds the requirements and we are very happy with our purchase. You have to play with the heat and water flow settings on the unit to fi d what works for you. If we want more of a rain type flow, we will set both to low. Even kn medium heat setting the water gets too hot at low flow. Medium heat at full water flow also works nice for us. Combine that with the three water patterns on the handle and everyone can be happy. Would definitely buy this again
