We would very Much recommend this clock for anyone who wants an all-around beautiful clock for a reasonable price. The only thing that even could be construed as a negative which is not really a negative once you learn how to do it: is setting the clock once you replace the batteries is a little bit complicated as you have to set the time at a very specific 5:45 in order to reset the chimes correctly.     • Took a little work
The clock hands did not work and a green wire was detached. all the years as a handyman paid off. I was able to reattach the wire and the front pin was very loose. I pushed the pin back into place....now the clock is working fine. My wife's anniversary present is working well and chiming beautifully. I believe the hand pin may have come loose during shipping. The green wire I don't know. My wife and i are pleased with the Clock. It would have been a better experience to be able to just put in the batteries and hang it. I got this clock for my 66 birthday. Looked at a bunch but chose this one. I liked another one but it was not all real wood. Husband said for money we would look for real wood. This one fits. It is beautiful. My only drawback is all the controls are in the back. Wish it opened from the front. But for the price and quality this one is perfect ... show more

    • STOPPED WORKING after 14 months
This clock stopped working just past the one year warranty. New batteries did nothing to restart this time piece. I contacted the seller, and they basically said, "Tough luck. Our warranty only lasts one year." It's hard to believe this is a genuine Bulova. DO NOT BUY. JUNK.

The finish on this clock is beautiful. It came in a relatively short amount of time! I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a modestly priced clock, that only chimes on the hour. It does not chime the number of the hour though, but still very nice, and the tone of the chimes are nice as well. ... show more
