The media could not be loaded. I bought this clock to substitute my old Bucherer anniversary clock, which recently began to stop unexpectedly. Since there is no living watchmaker in my town and I suspect in the whole country, who can fix it, I decided to buy a new one. Today all such clocks are equipped with a cheap Chinese quartz mechanism and the pendulum is no longer a part of it - it is a fake pendulum that is driven by its own motor. I bought this clock as a gift for my brother's 50th wedding anniversary. I remember seeing a clock like this in my grandparent's living room and always thought it was a very elegant clock. My brother and sister-in-law really enjoyed receiving this clock.

I bought this for my mother to replace the one she had, that I broke...oops, however it's very hard to see the face of the clock from a distance as short as 3-4 ft.
