Summary: We love this enclosure! We find the size perfect for the dwarf hamster we are rescuing. The structure is sturdy with lots of room inside. We had a small issue and customer service was amazing. 10/10 for the product and company, would buy again and highly recommend! The long story: After agreeing to our teen's request for rescuing a hamster locally, we started looking into supplies and I realized hamster housing and care have changed for the better. After a deep dive into youtube and reading reviews on Amazon, I chose the Bucatstate 3.0 for the amount of bedding we can fit inside, the space available in our home, and that it came highly recommended by people that own them. Some mentioned a bit of difficulty with construction so I headed to the Bucatstate youtube channel where they have step by step videos, including one with tips on making the acrylic panels slide into the base easier. As it turned out we had a very easy time with assembly, the only issue being the front panel had a small crack at the door cutout. I'm normally not one to make a fuss and we probably would have ignored the crack if it had been anywhere else but being it was where the panel would be flexing with the door opening and closing, we reached out to Bucatstate. They offered a replacement piece which arrived very quickly, and we've already swapped it out. 10/10 customer service! They were very warm and concerned about the care of our pet. The enclosure is BIG! It is sturdy, not flimsy or wobbly. The sides hold up nicely to the mounds of bedding and other accessories the teen has filled it with. The top doors provide full access to the inside, and the front pocket door is convenient as well. It's got plenty of room like we were hoping to put in all sorts of enrichment and it's tall enough to add lots of bedding for burrowing. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase and the enclosure's design. It's just what we were hoping for based on our research. Will update with photos~

Purchased the Bucatstate 3.0 through Amazon and I am so glad I did! Cage arrived within days and was exactly as expected. I got the 40*20 which really does have plenty of room for my Syrian. All pieces came well packaged and protected. It is helpful to watch the assembly video before constructing but there are written instructions included that are generally pretty easy to follow. The one thing I caution buyers is to definitely make sure that you have the rubber inserts in the framing tapped down completely before attempting to insert the sides. I used the plexiglass square included in the packaging as well as a flat head screwdriver and a "roller" type spline tool to press that rubber insert well against the metal frame. This helps the sides slide in easily!. All the plexiglass was protected by sheeting which needs to be removed and the base and top come already assembled which I understand is an upgrade from the 2.0 version. My hamster has a ton of room and the cage is well ventilated with easy access from the top and the front drop down door. Great visibility and the cage feels sturdy once the screws have been inserted and the cage connected and tightened. I do not fear that my hamster will chew or otherwise manage to escape this cage. The inside is smooth and appears water/pee resistant. There is room for a large wheel, sand bath and at least 6-8 inches of bedding. I definitely did my homework and based on others reviews this is for sure the "creme de le creme" of hamster habitats. Expensive but quality that I see lasting for many years. Customer service is great. Great company to work with and genuinely care about their customer and animals that use the product.

We wanted a cage that was large, easy to keep clean, and attractive. The black metal frame with large acrylic panels gives it a modern, clean-line look. The metal frame feels solid, and assembly was much easier than we anticipated… it only took about 25 minutes. We did have a small issue with a crack in the front acrylic panel near the door. If we were to offer an area for improvement, it would be to make the front panel thicker, especially since the door is used daily. We reached out to Bucatstate via email and their customer service provided a quick resolution. Overall, we are thrilled we chose this cage for our daughter’s first hamster.

If you want a very content hamster, BUY THIS CAGE! If you are upgrading your ham’s enclosure due to your hamster being stressed and anxious in a incage that’s too small or without much enrichment, this cage is a great option. The Bucatstate 3.0 is probably the largest and most chew-proof cage available to the public for purchase. I love that the corners and frames are metal and sturdy. Someone assembled it for me so I can’t speak for the difficulty, but they said it wasn’t bad. My hamster has an array of tunnels and burrows she has dug underneath her bedding and she seems to be happy. I included a photo of one of her burrow holes that goes down to her tunnels. I have a female syrian so I wanted to get the biggest enclosure possible. She’s a BIG GIRL and it’s recommended that female syrians have at least 1,000-1,200+ square inches of flat, unbroken, horizontal floor space to live in. The only hideouts my ham fits in are actual flower vases with large (4-5 inch) openings, so that’s what I use in her cage. This enclosure’s size makes it possible to include vases for her to hide in plus all the necessary items for her well-being and health. The Bucatstate 3.0 easily fits her sand bath, her dig bowl with coco soil in it, her huge Syrian sized multichamber hide, her 12 inch wheel, 2 hollow cork logs, a 13-inch grapewood branch, 3 big ceramic hides, and there’s about 7-8 inches of compressed, dense bedding so her burrows and tunnels will hold up well. She has a water bowl and a water bottle. Syrians, especially female syrians, require really large cages and lots to do in their homes in order to be less-stressed and to remain physically and mentally healthy. I highly recommend this enclosure for all species of hamsters, not just syrians. Dwarfs and robos need lots of space also. The days of forcing our hamsters to live in tiny plastic or wire cages, shoving them into hamster balls that they have no control over and cause stress and injuries, and making them squeeze through narrow plastic tubes are over now that we know so much more about what hamsters truly need (including a large cage with lots of enrichment to keep them busy) and what they absolutely don’t need (hamster balls, plastic tubes, tiny 250-550 square inch cages with multiple levels and no room for enrichment). Get your beloved hamster the cage they deserve, they’ll be less territorial, less bitey, and possibly more willing to bond with their human. Tiny cages are stressful and claustrophobic to hamsters. Hams will be anxious, territorial, and bitey while constantly climbing and biting the wire bars and chewing the cage’s plastic, trying to escape because they’re trapped in such a small, inadequate cage. Bucatstate did a great job with this 3.0 upgrade and I’m so happy my ham can live in it. I really don’t have any complaints. Definitely recommend. All hamsters deserve one.

I've only had this product for 4 days so keep that in mind. I purchased the Bucatstate 3.0 which is one of the bigger cages they offer at $279.99. In my opinion, for that price, I wish the plexiglass was thicker. It's really flimsy. However, this is the 3rd cage I've purchased for my baby girl and it's by far the best one. I love the way the door opens and closes on the front. You have these clip on things that you twist to lock the door in place. That gives me peace of mind because the door on my last cage popped open and she almost escaped. I love how roomy this cage is. It is the biggest cage I've purchased as well. I love how it's metal, so it's very easy to clean. There are 2 doors on top that you can open to put bigger items inside just in case they don't fit through the other door on the front. Also, this is very easy to put together. I didn't find my user manual until it was already built and it took me a little under an hour to build because I was looking for pieces that I didn't know I left in the box (along with the manual 🤣😭). Overall, this a very solid cage and I would definitely purchase it again!

I've tried several different small animal cages with pets in the past, and I think this one has been hands-down my favorite so far. It arrived pretty quickly, but putting it together was a tiny bit tricky. Not impossible or even really hard (I did it myself w/o help), but a little tricky. The directions were not written in great English, so the YouTube video I watched (referenced in the instructions) showing the assembly helped a bit. I appreciated that the acrylic sides had a protective, peel-off film on them - reducing the possibility of scratches on them. ...There WAS still a scratch in one of the corners, but it wasn't a deep one, so no big deal. The rubber in between the panels was a tiny bit tricky too (fitting the acrylic into them), but I was able to flatten them down enough and they helped the panels not wobble as much when in place. Sure, it's definitely not the cheapest hamster cage for sale out there... but if you know anything about hamster care, you'll know that MANY of the cages people sell really aren't ADEQUATE enough to be a decent hamster habitat. For what it costs, this habitat really is terrific. It has a great amount of room for a hamster (or other small 'pocket pet') to move around, burrow around, and feel comfortable instead of claustrophobic. I got the smaller of the two sizes offered, and I still had plenty of room for a hamster bath, wheel, and a few different 'hideaways'. Having more than one way to get into the enclosure (top AND front doors) is a nice option too. Basically, if you're on the fence about buying this, absolutely do so. It's been worth every penny thus far. There's other cages/tanks/enclosures out there, but don't waste time/effort/money on something that just probably won't be as good, and might not be good for your little hammy (or similar). My Syrian has been happy and comfy in his new home so far, and I hope to use it long-term for multiple pets in the future.

We previously had a large enclosure for our Syrian hamster, but it had a wooden frame that she was chewing through. We got this Bucatstate cage for a metal replacement that she shouldn't be able to escape. This one is even more enormous. It's basically a hamster mansion. If a hamster isn't happy in this, it won't be happy in anything. The metal framework and clear plastic panels should be escape-proof and feels strong and secure. We can easily see our hamster from any direction, and the top has two hatches thar open when we need in there. Additionally, the front window has a huge flap that can be opened and has multiple latches to lock it shut. I can't imagine what more we could ask of a hamster cage.

Is was relatively easy to put together, the hardest part was removing the plastic layer on the clear parts of the enclosure since I have long nails. Girls if you love to keep your nails long, just be prepared for this^. My Hammy has been chewing on a corner but the enclosure is sturdy and she hasn’t escaped. It is definitely a bigger upgrade from her previous enclosure so im sure she is stressed, highly recommend to slowly integrate new things into their enclosures little by little so not to overwhelm them. And to also give them alone time to get used to their new mansions. Its a wonderful enclosure, plenty of space for them to run around, and you can still easily make contact with them through the little window in the front or the two hatches on top.
