I like it enough. It is what I needed to support my VG30ET engine. The stand sits a little low like others have said so that could be a problem for some, especially if you are tall. To me it's not that big of a deal. When I received that stand from the carrier and began to assemble it, one of the main support brackets was bent a little so I had to do some banging on it to get it straightened out. This really wasn't a big deal to me but maybe to some. I like the width of the stance, I feel like it gives my engine more support. I feel that the price was very good too. Currently using the engine stand for my complete longblock so i can transfer my swnsors and other components over to the new freshly built motor. Easy to roll and easy to handle. Feels great and sturdy.

When the package came it was damaged as you can see by the photos. Luckily there were no missing or damaged parts when I opened it to inspect. One end of the box practically fell off when I opened it. Assembly went pretty easily but the hardware they supply is pretty low grade. The bolts/nuts are a Grade 5/Class 8.8 which is not a really strong structural fastener. If you really need this thing to support anywhere near the 5/8 Ton (1,250 lbs) rating I would upgrade these to Grade 8/Class 10.9 bolts/nuts. Also they only supply enough washers to go on the nut side when assembling. I prefer to have washers on both the bolt head side and also the nut side when using through bolts so I ended up running to the hardware store to purchase these. The tray that is supplied is useful but it doesnt lock to one side or the other it kind of just pivots and moves around as it pleases. Its also not held on by anything it just sits on a metal pin. As far as this supporting the claimed weight it did support my 2JZGTE long block while I disassembled it. My guess on the long block weight is about 600lbs. It was to heavy for my 750 lbs rated engine stand which is why I purchased this one. It easily supports my engine with little issues. Not sure if I would bolt a motor that weights close to 1,250 lbs on it though. Overall it works and is decent for the price. I will probably change out the casters to locking casters so that it doesnt want to move around when I'm trying to torque or remove bolts. ... show more

The stand is awesome and very easy to assemble. We are restoring a '66 Fairlane, and we pulled the engine to do additional work on it. Not sure if it mentioned this in the description of the item BEFORE we bought it, but the instructions included in the box AFTER we bought are VERY clear, that it does NOT include the bolts needed to attach the engine to the stand. You have to go get those or order those separately, as the size for one engine could be different than for another engine. If you can figure out the size bolts you will need to mount the engine to the stand, get them ahead of time and it will save you having to run to the store to get them. Front casters were missing and the company tells me that they might have them in China warehouse, but if not there then there are no parts available to replace the missing ones. Tried to mount a 454 BBC and the arms are too short to reach bolt holes. Guess you get what you pay for.

I’m happy with the lift itself but when package arrived the box was almost destroyed. Missing one caster iron wheel and the handle. I contacted the company and another 14 days later two wheel and a handle arrive. The two wheels didn’t match and neither one matched what was shipped. I head out to Menards and buy two wheels that match. And more money out of my pocket ($12.00) . ... show more
