This is the Mikuni-manufactured pump (it actually has Mikuni's name molded into the back of it). It is either made in the USA or Japan, depending upon the run you get. This pump is OEM quality, and works well. Considering that a leaking pump can dump fuel into your crankcase and wipe out your engine, it's not worth going with a cheap knock-off! While this pump has a little B&S logo on the front of it, it bolts right up to Kohler and Kawasaki engines, too - and is cheaper than the OEM pumps for those brands! ... show more

Not much to say except it works as advertised. Install was super simple, 2 screws attach it to the fan housing and the original fuel and pulse hoses slip right on. I suggest changing the fuel filter (available on here as well) for a complete install.

This is a part that is very easy to install. 2 Screws, three tubes. The carb side, the fuel side, and the reference side attached to the right OHV on my John Deere D130. It took 10 minutes to put on. And it works well. I replaced my original item on the D130 after adjusting the valves. The information says it's a Briggs and Stratton (22 HP V2) original. I'm not sure that is true. Sure looks like it. And it works as advertised. You may be able to buy the knock-off for 8-10$. And you can tell if this is the case since some appear to have screw connections on the pump housing. But for another 10$, might as well get one from the Briggs and Stratton store. ... show more

    • Is it the carburetor? Might be the fuel pump!
I replaced the carburetor because fuel pumps hardly ever go bad. Right? Well my fuel pump went bad sort of. It wasn't until I replaced it with this model, that I understood that the previous carburetor was probably just fine. This cost less, it's easier to replace, and if you don't have to replace it, you've got a spare fuel pump. This one works very well. Very pleased with its performance. ... show more
