First time using racks like these, so I have nothing to compare them to, but these hit every box for me, and stood up to every claim they make about them. Easy to install, perfectly tight and stable and speed. (Including 70+ mph with Eight 8' - 13' surf rods up in it. Like many others say, the act of pushing down, while pushing up for the locks in kinda hard, (65 yr old arthritic hands) but you get used to it. Good Product and felt they were very fairly priced compared to the competition (who have less features.)

Very little wind noise even with traction boards in rack. Super easy install. Sliding mechanism works very well. So far so good! Not sure why other reviews say you have to lock with key? Once open you can turn the key to lock...remove key and the latch will work. I would recommend you don't do that if your gear is in the rack and your driving . Definitely a nice rack. Only negative is maybe they have taller profile vs other brands. Definitely recommend!

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been skiing for 55 years and have used a lot of ski racks in my day. This one is hands-down, the best. The mounting system is easy to use and sturdy, the rack itself is very well designed. The slide out feature is convenient and strong. Check out the video and order one of these.

I installed these on a 2024 Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy Night edition, on OEM crossbars. The engineering and design should seriously win some kind of award. In the box you get 2 carriers and 4 'cartridge' attachment pieces that have a crab style connector. I did not even nee to refer to the instructions, it is that easy. Took 10 minutes. There was no 'insert tab A into slot R while holding part V with your other 2 hands while standing on one leg screaming like a chicken' kind of nonsense. You just attach each cartridge to the rack with a single screw, then place on your crossbar and finish tightening the same screw until the crab action is tight on your crossbar. Nothing to it. Then you can slide the supplied allen wrench into a nifty little slot on the rack so you'll know where it is come spring and it's time to remove the rack. I do have one minor complaint. You can't leave the rack unlocked. The key can only be removed when the unit is in the locked position. Where I ski, I have zero concern about theft, so this is a royal pain and too "big brother" for me. Otherwise I like everything about it. If they make a kayak rack I'll be buying one.

I liked this product. Sturdy and the slide out feature was nifty. But there's two main challenges that caused me to return. The biggest one is that the mount hooks are designed for wider and flatter crossbars. They wouldn't close and tighten around my crossbars. The other problem is that you need two hands to open the rack. One to turn the key and the other to lift the rack out of the mount. It doesn't spring up like most others. I could've lived with this problem, but I couldn't live with the crossbar connection.

High quality rack. Was easy to install and claws worked as expected to securely hold the rack on my Thule aero roof rails. As others have stated the need to lock the rack in order to remove the key can be annoying but it makes it impossible to drive off with the rack not locked tight.
