  • Very sturdy, easy to assemble and use, folds up for storage
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
I've used this rack for about 3months on my Toyota RAV4 with two Cannondale bikes (42lbs each). What I like: - Easy to assemble - Seems very heavy-duty and stable. - The screw-in hitch pin and additional hitch stabilizer greatly reduces any wobble...very effective. - Has a long enough tube length from my trailer hitch that insures no contact between bikes and the back of my vehicle. - Although I'm a bit uncertain about the velcro tire straps, they're very good quality and I've had no issues - The manufacturer followed up with a feedback email that resulted in a very positive dialogue about a couple of things on the rack that could be better. I was impressed with the follow-up. - I did a fair amount of initial research and don't think you can beat the price point for a bike rack of this quality...it's a very good deal for the money. I'm very pleased with the rack. What I don't like: - The review comments regarding flimsy foam j-hook covers are correct. With that said, I went to a local hardware store and bought a couple of 1ft lengths of 5/8" heater hose. I pulled off the existing foam padding, and with a little silicone grease and twisting, successfully installed my replacement hose. It's been very secure with no movement or issues. I let the manufacturer know about it on a feedback email that he sent. He advised they've now modified the j-hook padding to be much better 👍 - If you need to slide the top j-hook off the vertical bar to mount your bikes, you'll be frustrated by a metal rivet at the top of the center post that makes it difficult to completely slide off the hook without taking the hook-bracket apart. The upside of this is that it keeps the hook from siding all the way off. Downside is that at least in my case, it makes bike mounting a bit more difficult. I also advised the manufacturer about this, so they may be working on a solution. For me, it's not a show-stopper...just annoying, and in my opinion easy to re-engineer if they choose to do so. ... show more

  • Excellent and Sturdy Bike Rack Excellent and Sturdy Bike Rack
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
I have used my 2-Bike Hitch Rack several times already and have been very pleased with it. It is sturdy, secure, and easy to use. Its 180-lb capacity handles my two e-bikes with excellent stability thanks to padded hooks, strong straps, and anti-rattle features. The foldable, tiltable design adds convenience, and its adjustable holders fit many bike types for when I take my regular bikes. It is a reliable, well-built rack. Additionally, the installation is quick, the materials feel sturdy, and the reflective safety features offer extra peace of mind during night drives. An excellent choice for anyone needing a durable bike rack that fits any standard hitch receiver. ... show more

  • Overall a good bike rack.
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
Pro: All of the parts were well packaged. The main outer box is heavy. Easy to assemble and the assembly instructions were adequate. You will need two size 17 mm socket ratchet tools or adjustable wrench or pliers. Heavy and solid rack. Easy to mount to my truck hitch. Folds up nicely when stored. Con: On the first page of the instructions they warn you that because of the material, it “may” rust. So guess what? It’s going to rust over time. That won’t be a problem if you intend on removing it from your vehicle after use. But the big issue is the actual design. It was difficult to secure my two bikes since I’m 6’2” and have large frame mountain bikes. It was challenging to secure the top frame of my bikes to the center support where you mount the U shaped brackets. May not be an issue if you have average size bike frames. ... show more

  • Works as promised
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
It works as promised. I’ve got it installed on the back of my RV and I don’t need it to tip down. So I took out some of the pins and replace them with bolts. It is very sturdy, and I can tell because I have a backup camera on the back of my RV and I can watch it in real time. I recommend buying an inexpensive cover with a good quality cargo net. Watching the live video, because it’s directly behind the trailer there’s not very much wind. Hope this helps ... show more

  • Rusting after less that 3 weeks Rusting after less that 3 weeks
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
Fairly easy to assemble. Took less than an hour. Seems pretty stable. Used my own tie downs as the supplied ones seem unreliable. Been on the truck less that 3 weeks and showing rust at most of the welds (see pics)/ Not sure how long it will last. We'll see.

  • Good value.
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
Seems to be of good quality for the price. Pivoting/ tilting bracket makes loading and storing convenient. Once you've figured a system for your situation loading and securing becomes much easier. More movement, wobble and bounce than I would like but a ratchet strap from back of van around bikes makes a more secure feeling at highway speeds. Anti-rattle bracket broke on first use. ... show more

  • Great bike rack Great bike rack
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
Great Bike rack for the price. Pros: Cost is great and built quality is good. I like the anti wobble device. Easy to pull the pin and tip in up or down to access the back of your vehicle or truck bed. Cons: Assembly takes a little bit more time than more expensive racks. Have to play with a bit to dial everything in just right. Heavy. Be careful if you have a tailgate (explanation below) All in all this thing is awesome for the cost. I have used it on multiple road trips and driven at least 2000 miles with out any issues. I'm not sure why people are having problems with the rubber portion of it wearing away and damaging their bikes... I haven't had that problem. Only thing I can think of is that maybe the arms aren't secured really tight allowing the wrapping to rub and wear away? If you are worried about that I would just put thin piece of cloth or something between your bike and the rubber I guess. Only downside to this rack is if you are using it with a pick up truck Be careful with you tailgate. When the rack is in the down folded position so you can open your tailgate, make sure to check if it will hit the top of the receiver portion of the rack (see red circled area in photo). My tailgate on my 2021 F150 will hit this before its all the way down, it is SO close to being able to be fully open before it touches, I keep a little nice piece of thick foam to put in-between this portion of the rack and the tailgate so it doesn't damage it. ... show more

  • The failure of this rack severely damaged over $6,000 worth of BRAND NEW E-Bikes! The failure of this rack severely damaged over $6,000 worth of BRAND NEW E-Bikes!
Size: ‎29.5 x 14.9 x 10.2 inches
I'm only writing this because there's no way to contact the manufacturer here. I just drove from AZ to San Diego to pick up two brand new e-bikes from the Electra US hq. I'd purchased this rack specifically for this trip. I saw that it had excellent reviews, etc. Just so it's understood, I'm VERY mechanically inclined. Woodworking, metal fab, can assemble pretty much anything. So I had no issues following the instructions & assembled this rack exactly as specified. I also mounted the bikes per the instructions & even added an additional tie down to the pink bike on the very back. 1) The support foam on both of the frame hook bars failed within being on the road for less than 10 miles, causing them lose the tension holding the bikes in place. This caused both BRAND NEW bikes to get deep scratches down to the metal as shown in the attached pictures. ...It gets worse. KEEP READING 2) The frame hook/support bar holding the bike at three very rear failed after going over a big dip in the freeway, causing the car to bounce, allowing the bike to fall onto the freeway. I dragged it ½ a mile before I was able to get to the side of the road & stopped. Fortunately, the velcro straps that hold the wheels to the rack kept the bike from falling off completely. It caused several hundreds of dollars in repairs to be made. The strap that comes with the rack wasn't strong enough to hold when we went over the dip on the freeway. By the way, this was on the Interstate 8 in San Diego, California, a well maintained & fairly smooth highway. The rack was assembled correctly. It was mounted to the car correctly. The bikes were mounted to the rack correctly. The tech at Electra Bicycles checked it as well. Not both of the bikes are damaged without 1 mile on them. I EXPECT the "RIGHT" thing to be done to resolve this matter. I hope to hear from someone about this. I will remove this review if things are dealt with in a reasonable manner, with a reasonable result. ... show more
