Works great! on Subaru Outback. Easy to install and easy to strap your SUPs on! Very sturdy, has both a strong velcro and plastic buckles. We have two inflatable SUPs and purchased the longer tie down as recommended. It is super long but easy enough to tie down the extra at the end. Blowing up the boards before heading down to the lake was a game changer. Not only did it save time down at the water, but we didn't have to spoil the quiet atmosphere with our pump down there! These things work amazing especially for the price. Couldn’t afford to buy real big bulky roof racks and wasn’t wanting to commit to anything yet, but these work amazing! They haven’t scratched the car, they hold my kayaks great, easy to take off and put back on.

1st time using a roof rack so I took back roads. Was a gusty day. 2 hour drive. Kayak did not budge. Nicely packaged in carrying bag. Shipped quickly. Easy to set up on roof and secure kayak. The bow and stern tiedowns should have a ratchet or something so they can be tightly secured hence the 4 stars. Giving benefit of doubt that highway driving has same results.

So easy to use and worked amazing! Ok me and my husband 10 minutes to put them on, load the kayaks and strap them down. They never moved and we got to take them off when we were done. Love it!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: We used it to hold two Boards on my Highlander. If the top and bottom straps don’t sit perfectly on each other it will make a humming noise while you drive.

The material used for the pads is excellent and seems to be very durable. . Almost a heavy canvas like material. There are clips at both ends of the pads to ensure that the pads never accidentally fall off while driving. The tie down straps included are much wider and heavier than I thought they would be. They seem very strong. The only thing that I would like improved is the Velcro attachment underneath the pads is facing the wrong direction and it catches wind dirt and bugs as it goes down the road. Easy solution is to put the pads on backwards so that the writing is facing backwards. But then it looks awkward. The backwards velcro enclosure is the reason why I did not give a five-star rating.

I was desperate for someway to haul my ladders around on my 2 door Toyota Echo. They don't make anything for a 2 door but I was determined to make it work. My first trek, I strapped on the front one through the window as directed. The second one, I just rested under my ladders toward the back. That did not work. I had to back up the interstate and retrieve the second one after being ran over by a semi. As I was stitching it back together I thought, why not just tie the second one to the first? I did so and it worked out great. Since then I bought a truck but they worked well for the first year.

At this price point, I was worried about the ease of installation and the overall quality. We have two paddle boards we strap to the top, and I wasn't buying the claim that it could carry both - boy was I wrong. Highly recommend this product - don't think you can beat it for the price, especially with a lot of expensive competitors out there. Don't skip over this one to pay for the brand names; this does the trick without the fuss of paying extra for a name brand.
