  • Awesome tough bench.
Awesome bench. Delivered fast.. simple setup. Nothing to do but pull off plastic. I use mostly with dumbbells but has other uses. So easy to adjust. Great padding. At various levels of incline I put pool noodles under my back for added stretches. At fullest incline you can just lay back and get some great back stretch relief. When adjusting so head is below hips, I put my feet on top of footrest not under. This keeps from over stretching back. Great situp bench also. Thought a little pricey until I got it and used it. This thing is made for guns to handle big guys and abuse. To use for home likely last forever. ... show more

  • Best design I could find for a folding bench, build quality seems excellent.
My bench was delivered last night, and I used it for the first time today. I will admit that I have never been a gym rat, so my review might miss things that a hard core lifter might notice. Let me say that I am impressed with the build quality. Solid welded construction, pad material seems thick and well stitched. It was packed with a fair amount of styrofoam and a everything was protected by cellophane, so I couldn't find a scratch or dent anywhere. And I looked. The material is like a leathery rubbery material, a little different but nice because it has a kind of tacky texture so I don't slide around. Not sure how it will hold up long-term, but it does seems nice and thick, previous reviewers experienced excellent warranty response in the event it eventually tears. The bench came fully assembled, but it took a few minutes to tear off all the cellophane. It unfolds and folds easily, probably doable with one hand. Let me address the five major concerns people have: 1. Gap between the seat and backrest- I don't see any way you could build a folding AND adjustable bench without the gap. I haven't found a bench that doesn't have this issue, and so far it hasn't bothered me. 2. Zipper rubbing leg- That must be an older model, because there is no zipper on the seat or anywhere else for that matter. The end of the seat is completely smooth. 3. Defects- mine appears to be defect free. 4. Flat seat- I was looking at another bench that had a tilted up seat. The problem with that bench was the seat could not go flat, so when attempting to do any flat lifts, you would only have the length of the backrest to use, and tall people would have their head hanging off the end. My head was almost hanging off the other bench. I figure when you want a folding, adjustable bench you can't have everything, and this worked best for me. I feel that the tackiness of the material and the ability to put my feet up on the pegs made it perfectly comfortable to do incline work. 5. Foot pegs not padded- the foot pegs are wrapped in thin rubber. It would be nice if it was a little thicker, but I prefer it to the giants pads that always roll around and make it hard to hook your feet. ... show more

  • Perfect Bench for Dumbbells
I purchased this bench to use with a set of dumbbells I had purchased. This is an awesome bench and serves it's purpose perfectly. I have no complaints with this bench. The quality of the build is excellent. The cushion for the seating and backrest is soft yet durable. There are pegs to place your feet under for leverage which is nice for sit ups. When lifting with 65 lb dumbbells, there is no shake or wobble in the bench at all and this is on carpet. The bench is very solid. An advantage with this bench over others I researched is that it is capable of incline and decline positions, as well as lying perfectly level. I read some comments about the spacing between the seating and backrest but I just don't see it as an issue in any way. There needs to be some space so the backrest can incline and decline but the space which is about an inch in no way is uncomfortable to sit or lay on. I'm really surprised that this was even brought up in reviews. In addition to the incline and decline functionality, the bench also folds flat like an ironing board to a height of about 9" at it's highest point. There's a handle on one end and wheels on the other so it can be lifted up and wheeled for easy movement or storage. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and due to the awesome quality and engineering of the bench, have purchased a dumbbell rack from Body Solid which I am extremely pleased with as well and have also reviewed. ... show more

  • everything was intact and fine upon arrival
I received this bench today, after only ordering it yesterday. So, first of all let me say as always I'm impressed with Amazon and their service for their Prime members. Although the box was mangled a little bit and partially opened on one end, that is not totally uncommon for a product as heavy as this one. Otherwise, everything was intact and fine upon arrival. From opening the box to setting it up in the ready to use position, it can be accomplished in under one minute. This is a heavy duty, well-made piece of equipment that should last a couple of life times, has wheels to easily roll it around on and cushions and covers made out of quality materials. And because of the way the legs are made, in some cases, can be used without any matting underneath. If you can afford a small increase over a cheaper bench, I promise you want be sorry for the extra expenditure. ... show more

  • I knew that the bench have to be the best that I could afford
When I decided that I just did not have time to go to the gym, I did lots of research on good-quality benches. I knew that the bench have to be the best that I could afford, while still keeping me safe. I decided on this bench and have not been disappointed at all!!! Very solid construction, no wobble whatsoever, and I even have it on carpet in a room upstairs of my house! I weigh 250 and have not had any fear of this thing collapsing on me! I bought a safety rack with this to do freeweight exercises. Would buy it again in one second! Have used it for dumbbell exercises as well as barbell. It does sit high off the ground, and I'm 6'4". But there's a foot rest that I'm sure would be stable enough for you to put your feet on if that was an issue for flat bench decline or incline. I've been using x 3 A week since the end of April, and it still looks new! I plan on having his bench for a very long time! Total weight on the bench at one time including me, 450 pounds and not a shake! ... show more
