I recently got this portable EV charger for my Tesla, and it's been a pretty solid addition to my car accessories. The charger's compact size is a huge plus for me, fits easily in the trunk without hogging space. I was impressed with the charging speed; it's not as fast as the superchargers, of course, but for a portable unit, it does a decent job. Gets my Tesla juiced up without any hiccups. The build quality is sturdy, feels like it can handle being tossed around a bit. The cord length is adequate for most situations, though I've had a couple of instances where a few extra feet would've been handy. It's really user-friendly, basically plug and play, which I appreciate. There's an LED indicator that shows the charging status, pretty straightforward but effective. I've used it a few times on trips, and it's been a lifesaver, especially in areas where public charging stations are scarce. One minor gripe is that it gets a bit warm during charging, but not alarmingly so. It's definitely more convenient than hunting for a charging station when you're on the road.     • A Few Of Our Friends & Family With EV's Will Have Greatly Reduced Range Anxiety NOW!

At this point in time my Wife or I do not own an EV, however we do have family members and friends which do and would love to come out to our ranch but are too nervous as they would be at the end of of their charge and there are no EV charging stations in the mountains where we live. I decided to buy this level 2 EV charger to mitigate their anxiety and encourage them to visit more often. I like the fact that it provides a variable charge rate and operates at 240Vac. I installed NEMA 14-50 outlet in an area that is inside of the carport. Since installing the charger I asked one of our neighbors to stop by with his 2023 Jeep to test out our charging station. I tested the range of charge rating settings easily with simple adjustments from the charger controller. This is a good device, it offers reliable protection against over-heat, over-current, under & over voltage, ground, battery leakage, lightning, it is waterproof as well and additionally is FCC and UL certified. ... show more

Roommate moved out with his EV charger unit so I needed to find a replacement. My outlet is set up for 50 amps, so can't run more than 80% of load (40 amps). This was perfect for my needs. It's cool that the unit a digital display that tells you the current amps being drawn, the time running on the current charge and how many kilowatt hours consumed. The max amps provided is adjustable (didn't change). The unit can be hung on the wall using the provided screw and plastic wall expansion insert. I am a little concerned that screw/expansion insert may pull out of the drywall in on my garage wall over time - will need to be careful not to pull on the charging cable too hard to avoid putting pressure on the single mounting point. This charger works as expected. We use it for our ID 4 at our home. Charge is fast with no interruptions. Comes with a nice carrying case in case you Want to take it with you for on the road charging. Only improvement would be the cord from, the charger to the car could be another foot or so longer

    • FINALLY ONE THAT WORKS!

This is the third charger I’ve ordered on Amazon. The first two didn’t work, both displaying faulting due to overage or under powering. With the second unit, i thought it must be our house’s wiring. I thought the chances of two different chargers from two different manufacturers both showing the same error message must be right so i took both chargers over to my in-laws as well as a friend’s house to test them but both showed the same fault result at both test places. So i rolled the dice again with this third order. Flipping through the mini informational pamphlet did not provide much confidence. So you can imagine how happy i was with first plugging in to a standard wall socket with regular house electrical amps, it lit green! Now the real test, plugged it into my X5. Flashing green= charging! Getting it’s first charge in a couple of weeks, i could have sworn i heard my car hum with delight. Or was that me? Thank you for making a product that actually works with my standard home wiring. Thank you for saving me $600 by not having to buy my manufacturer’s overpriced charger. Thank you!!
