Just got a pair. The aluminum pole and ribs seems sturdier than most patio umbrella’s which is why i purchased. Unfortunately all the connecting pieces and the crank are plastic and feel much less sturdy. Time will tell if they hold up to use and UV but I am not optimistic

The fabric is sun resistant and guaranteed for 5 years. Being lightweight is not working all that well here. It catches the slightest breeze and has actually dragged the base around on the balcony. I have anchored it with some empty pots. Not the best look at the moment but triple digit heat means no planting yet. It’s also been moved to the center of the space which is not ideal. Haven’t had it all that long so being watchful on performance.
