  • Not as pretty as the blue color but heats better!
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
Let me start off by saying I wasn’t expecting much for this cover since we had purchased a blue cover at a yard sale however my wife insisted. I was wrong. When we got the cover it was lighter than expected however much stronger than the previous cover. We read somewhere the clear cover allowed more sun through to heat the water so we decided on clear. The cover was easy to roll out and so easy to cut to our oddly shaped pool size, a pair of good scissors worked fine. Very rugged material that would not tear but easy to cut. Once we got the cover in place the temperature during the day was in the mid 90’s and sunny and dropped to the upper 50’s at night. In two days the pool temp stayed in the upper 80’s and didn’t fall like it normally would to the mid to low 60’s to match close to the night temperatures. We got at least another month out of enjoying the pool. Hope it helps to reduce evaporation also. We had a lot of rain, for Arizona, 5 inches within a week and I was worried the cover might sink however it shed the water over to the edges and back into the pool without a problem. Was not affected by wind either. Two bad thins, the pool service requires us to remove the cover befor they will service the pool so we remove it on the day they come and put it back later. The other thing is one of our dogs tried to walk on it and it held long enough for us to get him. The dog had never went near the pool before so please be careful. Excellent product and would recommend it highly. ... show more

  • I love to swim with my kids now!!!!
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
I am a cold person. I am the type of person that will go into the hot tub on a 100 degree day. I HATE going in a cold pool! When we bought our house I didn't realize that the pool that we fell in love with did not come with a heater. We had contemplated putting a heater in, which would have cost a fortune, but decided to just bear the cold pool because after the cost of putting in a heater we'd still be paying a fortune to actually run it. We kicked around the idea of a solar cover, but the only experience I had with a solar cover was a friends pool when I was a child. I just remember that her pool was always freezing so I assumed they just didn't work very well. Now we have been in this house for 3 years now and with a 3 and 5 year old we use the pool A LOT!! I started hating my decision to buy a house with a pool because it was always so cold and while my kids didn't seem to mind, using the pool was a dreaded part of my day. Finally I decided it was worth trying the solar cover. WOW, I cannot believe how well it works!! We put it on when the temp was at 75 and the weather was upper 60s-low 70s an very cloudy. It raised to 80 within a couple days. Then we hit a heat wave and after 1 day of it being at 100 degrees our pool is now staying at 90-95 degrees! WE CAN ACTUALLY GO NIGHT SWIMMING!!! No more inching our way in and having to "get used to it". I've never had a solar cover before so I cannot offer a comparison, and we've only had it for 2 weeks so I don't know how long it will last. For your own comparison - our pool is average size but fairly deep (11 feet) and not much of a shallow end. The 95 degrees temp was taken close to the bottom of the shallow end and I feel the water temp is evenly dispersed. Our pool is usually in full sun until about 3 in the afternoon so I can't attest for the effectiveness if your pool is more shaded. Obviously the one downfall of a solar cover is how difficult it is to take off and put back on. We cut it in half, but I think I'll even cut it more. It takes about 5 minutes to put it back on by myself, so it's not too bad. We got a pool box to store it in so it doesn't look awful bunched up on the side of the pool when we have guests over. I plan on putting colorful stickers or some kind of arrows to make it easier to figure out which side goes where. Overall I'm glad we went with this option over a pool heater. It looks ugly, but we take it off when we have company and I would prefer to have an ugly pool that we can use than a pretty pool that I dread going in. ... show more

  • Good product
Size: 24' x 12' (as shown)
In Exactly 4 years it started to sink the bubbles didn’t hold it up anymore. But for the price for 4 full years it was a good investment. We are going with a blue one this time because they say they keep the water warmer overnight than the clear ones.

  • An Excellent Alternative to an Expensive Heater
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. The hottest our pool got last summer was 79 degrees. Now, just in the early part of the season, it's already up to 88! I expect this to expand our usable season by at least a month on each side of summer. My only suggestion is you MUST get a reel to help manage this thing. They're very cumbersome to get on and off without the help of a reel, and if you want to get the most benefit from it, you want to keep it on as much as possible. This particular cover seems to be very durable, and definitely does the job. I'll try and remember to update after a year of use. Update 6/2019 I've now purchased 3 of these covers. They seem to last about 2 seasons before the ends start disintegrating. I'm pretty sure this is because we NEVER cover the thing when it's reeled up, and the ends get very hot which degrades the plastic. I consider this a fair trade-off for my laziness of not wanting a cover for my cover. Still highly recommended, but don't expect them to last forever if you don't protect it from the sun when it's off your pool. ... show more

  • Didn’t last long
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
I ordered this in April of this year 2026, and it has already began deteriorating, ripping apart, clogging up my filters. I live in Arizona and it didn’t last long here. I’ve reached out to the company with this issue, so we’ll see what kind of warranty this pool cover carries. To add to this, before this began happening the cover was great, it helped keep the pool clean and it also contributed to warming up the pool about 10-15 degrees. If it had lasted a reasonable amount of time, instead of 4-5 months, it would have been worth the money. I expected it to at least last a couple summers, but it didn’t even make through 1 whole summer. ... show more

  • Doesn’t last more than 2 seasons in Florida, but OVER 100F POOL WATER WITH THIS COVER!!
Size: 28' x 14' (Rectangular)
Update May 2020. The first cover worked for the 2015 - 2017 summers, disintegration became too bad after season 3 (stored inside in winters), so I ordered a new one in April of 2018, used 2 summers and left it on over this winter to keep leaves out. It’s starting to tear and disintegrate badly, plastic bits floating in the pool. I emailed product support because no one answers the phone, but didn’t get an answer. I’d chaulk it up to coronavirus but reviews from 2018 report the same. Great warming cover, but plan on purchasing every 2 years, at $50 year it’s cheaper than a heater, but the warranty seems useless. Original review: So far it's awesome, I got my pool up over 100F (102f) this summer in North Florida. That's about 15 degrees higher than last summer's average. That felt like a hot tub, and I had to remove it to cool it back down to refreshing temperatures, but amazing how cool 90F can feel after you've been swimming in 100F water. It did not keep the pool warm enough for me in the winter in North Florida, but there's nothing you can do with an unheated pool when the nights drop into the 30s I guess, except heat the pool with a true heater. This cover will heat your pool, though, and extend your usage season, so if you want your pool warmer during pool months, go for it! ... show more

  • Heats the water and prevents evaporation
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
Have the clear 14-mil version. A month in, and I've been pretty happy. Installed in April, and within a week, the water temperature had risen 10 degrees, in SoCal (from 70 to 80). We do get lots of sun, and this was the first time we had ever swum in April in our pool. After another 70-degree week in May, we're up to 87. Without the cover, we certainly wouldn't have gained more than 5 degrees in the same span - we'd always loose a lot of heat in the cool nights. We have a kidney shaped pool, and it was fairly easy to stretch across the pool, draw the edge with a sharpie, and cut to size with scissors. I've left a few inches extra on all sides so that it wraps up the edge of the pool tiles, and leaves some flexibility when aligned it back to fit each time. Never have had trouble with wind blowing it away. But if you leave the edges long and curled up, rain water collects on top rather than flowing into the pool. Removal is a little tricky, but it can be rolled long-ways, and then rolled again into a manageable cylinder. It's not heavy to lift. It feels very sturdy, dragging it along our concrete. After some practice, typically 5-7 minutes to remove and reinstall, just 1 person. 2 people certainly make it simpler. A rectangular pool would also be easier. The warmth is nice, and we also haven't had any evaporation - so no pool refilling yet. I almost think it'll be too good: I don't want the water 90 degrees, but I do want to avoid evaporation in the summer. ... show more

  • GOOD QUALITY, CLEAR, EASY TO FIT TO POOL
Size: 32' x 16' (Rectangular)
We ordered the clear so we could see what was going on in the water below. It was easy to cut it to size; I layed it on across the peanut-shaped pool, marked the edges of the pool with a blue non-toxic felt-tip marker, then cut with scissors. Had to trim up a few places that were not laying flat on the water, but it was very easy to shape it to the pool. Our only problem was that when removing it, it gets dirty water on top and is very heavy. So this spring we decided to cut it in half to make it easier to handle. It works well and husband and I can each take a side and walk it to the end. You get some leaves falling through where we cut it but they are easy to scoop out. It does a good job of warming the pool but we have trees so lots of leaves landed on top and made a mess during the fall. Our pool man said it would not help in the winter and would not let the skimmer do it's job of sucking in the leaves, so we removed it to make it easier to clean the pool. When spring arrived we put it back on and it brought our pool up to 85 degrees in a few days of warm 90 degree weather. The air temps cooled back down to normal but the pool remained fairly warm, around 78 degrees but too cold to swim for me. We are happy with it and it seems quite heavy duty compared to the blue covers we saw at the pool stores for quite a bit more money. To store it, we fold it in 2 halves and place in the center of a large brown tarp, cover it with the tarp and weight it down to keep it out of the sun. We expect it will last a few seasons in the AZ heat if we keep it covered , but you never know. ... show more
