Both sides are soft, been through multiple washes. Make sure to dry on low heat. Big enough for an infant possibly up to 6 month. Not sure yet on that d/t my baby being 4 months. Its not thick. this blanket was a must ! i love nopales & i had to get this for my baby boy ! its super soft & cleans easy & the sherpa hasnt gotten that weird dry texture that alot of sherpas get after a few washes ! bought in august & its january & still super fluffy !
