  • Flagship Portrait Quality at a Fraction of the Price
Set name: 85mm F1.4 (Full Frame)
The Viltrox AF 85mm f/1.4 Pro FE has completely changed my portrait game on my Sony E-mount system . This "Pro" series lens delivers the kind of high-end performance you'd usually expect from a much more expensive first-party lens Why it stands out: Stunning Portrait Quality: The f/1.4 aperture produces exceptionally creamy bokeh and a beautiful "3D pop" that makes subjects stand out perfectly . It is impressively sharp even when shooting wide open . Pro-Level Build: The lens feels incredibly solid with its all-metal construction and full weather sealing . It balances well on full-frame bodies, though it does have a substantial, high-quality weight of about 800g . Reliable Performance: The new Dual HyperVCM motors make autofocus fast and quiet, working seamlessly with Sony's Eye and Face Detection . Practical Features: I love the de-clickable aperture ring—perfect for switching between photos and silent video shooting—and the customizable Fn button . Verdict: If you want professional results without the G-Master price tag, this is a must-have. It’s rugged, versatile, and delivers beautiful, honest imagery every time ... show more

  • Wide-angle power without the luxury lens price
Set name: 16mm F1.8 (Full Frame)
I’ve been using this Viltrox 16 mm F1.8 lens on my Sony mirrorless for a few months — for landscapes, cityscapes, night photography, and even video — and overall it’s impressed me. For the price, it offers a lot of what much more expensive lenses do, with just a few trade-offs. What I love: Excellent optical quality with sharpness and clarity. Even wide open at f/1.8, the center of the frame is sharp, and stopping down a bit improves contrast. Corner-to-corner performance is very good for a wide-angle lens at this price. Bright aperture = great low-light and night use. The f/1.8 max aperture lets me shoot cityscapes, interiors, and night skies with good light gathering without pushing ISO too high. Quiet and fairly fast autofocus — good for video too. The stepping motor (STM) is smooth and quiet, reducing focus noise when recording video. Also minimal focus breathing helps keep video framing stable. Solid build, practical design, and real-world value. The lens feels solid, uses 77 mm filters (handy if you already have filters), and the all-metal-ish build feels more premium than its cost suggests. Considering the optical quality and features, this is really a strong value pick. ... show more

  • Insanely good for the price
Set name: 85mm F1.8 (Full Frame)
I am honestly blown away at how good this lens is for the price. - The build quality is top notch, it's nice and heavy and the focus ring is tight and solid - The image quality is really great (it has VERY SLIGHTLY more chromatic abberation than more expensive lenses, which is easily correctable in post if you even notice it) - It is very sharp - The bokeh is very nice and pleasing, not smudgy or streaky or weird shaped - It's autofocus! It is fast and accurate. It's a teeny bit louder than my Sony/Sigma lenses, but it's definitely not going to be noticed by anyone I have the Samyang/Rokinon 85mm f/1.4 for Sony E, and this lens is just as good for $200 less. Yes it's f/1.8 and not 1.4, but I rarely shoot at 1.4 anyways because the focus becomes so narrow. This is the perfect budget portrait lens. I used this for a portrait session and although I can't publicly share those pics, they turned out fantastic. I'm sharing some random snapshots just to give you an idea of the capabilities of this lens, but they are obviously nothing special. ... show more

  • Excellent Value! Unbelievable Bokeh!
Set name: 85mm F1.8 (Full Frame)
I am evaluating this VILTROX 85mm f/1.8 lens after 3 months of use, using a Sony A7R III full-frame camera body, and in comparison with my pro-level Sony G Master lenses, which include: • 24mm f/1.4 GM • 135mm f/1.8 GM • 24-70mm f/2.8 GM • 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 GM. My intent for this lens was for product photography, for closer portraiture than my 135mm f/1.8 GM can manage, and for videos where I wanted to get in a little closer than my 24-70mm lens would permit. Since I acquired it, I have used it for so much more. These are my findings: PROS: • Picture Quality: Outstanding, crystal-clear shots • Bokeh: Beautiful, round, buttery smooth • Price. Packs a big punch for such a low-priced lens • Body: All metal, perfect weight to feel solid but not too heavy. (In comparison, the Sony 85mm f/1.8 lens feels lighter and more plastic-y) • High Quality Mechanics: Incredibly smooth manual focus ring • Quick Auto-focus NEUTRAL: • Pin-cushioning: Present, but distortion eliminated in Lightroom (used distortion correction value = -6.5), so not a negative to me. • Chromatic Aberration: Generally low (studio light) or absent (daylight), about equivalent to GM 24mm f/1.4 lens • Vignetting: Generally not apparent, minute evidence in some wide-aperture test shots using on pure white background, when identical shot compared across aperture stops. CONS: • Auto-focus: Hunts more than it does with my 24mm f/1.4 GM lens • No weather sealing Overall an outstanding lens! Thanks Viltrox! ... show more

  • Great Autofocus
Set name: 56mm F1.4 (APS-C)
Works as intended, good cheap AF lens. Remember the “sensor times focal length” rule, as I didn’t even know it when buying this. Not the lenses fault tho, and not a huge issue

  • Amazing Little Lens for the Price!
Set name: 25mm F1.7 (APS-C)
I bought this lens for my Sony a6700. The first lens that I had was the Sony 18-135 f3.5-5.6, which was a zoom lens with a variable aperture. It was a good lens; however, I wanted something that could have a more shallow depth of field. Because of that, I bought this. The autofocus is very fast, but that can be because of the Sony's amazing AI autofocus. The build quality seems pretty premium for the price, and will certainly withstand some bumps and scratches easily. It can be a bit loud sometimes, especially during the autofocus, when you put your ear directly against it. overall, this lens is great for the quality! highly recommend! ... show more

  • This one is much better
Set name: 35mm F1.7 (APS-C)
It is shocking how much better this is than the kit lens that comes with my Sony A6400- took some shots today that blew the other one away. Very impressed with the sharpness and depth of field for such a relatively inexpensive lens
