The opening mechanism is easy to use. They can be tilted to position for the sun. They have solar powered led lighting operated easily by a pole switch, that looks great at night (be careful not to scratch the solar panel on the top of the spike as you unpack!) I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

The umbrella seems great and arrived in good shape, and lights worked. However at night the lights are not what we had hoped and are very blue and harsh to us. We had hoped for warmer led that would match our deck lights and ambience. Overall price is the same as without the lights so just bummed we didn’t like them.
