I think this is the best vacuum I have ever purchased! I have went through many over the last 50 years. It cleans my shag Living room area rug without getting hung up from the high pile. I love the handy detachable wand at just a click which also comes with smaller attachment for getting into tight area’s and even has a light. I love the large headlight in front of the main unit also. The suction is incredible and overall this vacuum is lighter weight than usual. It has all the features and worth the extra money!! It's the same price on Amazon as it is on the BISSELL web site. So, if you already order from Amazon, might as well get it from Amazon, no need to enter your name and address to another web site (and get more spam). I had a "pet" model that I bought in 2017. Parts are no longer available for it, and that model was being held together by duct tape. Ok, time for a new one. I bought this. WAY MORE SUCTION POWER. I have a cat and it gets way more cat hair out of the carpets. Plus it easily adjusts from carpet to floor. Easy to put together. UPDATE 9 months later. I had to get rid of this vacuum. It's because it was too powerful for my apartment. I plugged it into an outlet on a parallel circuit (which means it doesn't matter which outlet it's plugged into, same issue) in a room where I have a computer, printer, shredder, small TV, cable box, Alexa, well, lots of things plugged in and the 7.5 amps kept making circuit breakers trip. The last time I unplugged it from am outlet (where nothing else was plugged in), a spark came out of the outlet. It left soot on the plug prongs and took a bite out of one of the two prongs. The apartment maintenance don't think it's the vacuum cleaner, but I think it is. It's a great vacuum, but it was too powerful for my apartment. Recommend this for a house. EDIT: My previous Bissell model, purchased in 2017, didn't bother my cat. He would sit there and watch when I used the vacuum. This model has a very high pitched "whine" that my cat does not like. He runs for the closets when I start this model up. I actually got excited over buying a new vacuum cleaner.

This is the third Bissell Pet Allergen vacuum I have bought. The first was for a cabin; I loved it so much I bought another for our home. When we discovered a severe mold issue and sensitivity, I used the one we had to vacuum and decontaminate our items but decided to purchase a new one when we moved to start fresh. Having a sealed HEPA system was very important! This was an upgraded model, and while I missed the retractable cord, I was thrilled with the lift-off system. Pros: I have intermittent back issues that keep me from using a heavy vacuum. While this is not the most lightweight vacuum, it pushes with such ease that I wondered if it was self-propelled. When the pod is removed for detachable, canister vacuuming it is light. This is such an upgrade, as we previously had to have one person move the base of the vacuum with the hose while another person used the attachment, or else the vacuum would tip over. Great design upgrade! The headlight on the front illuminates every dust, crumb, and hair, so I get as much picked up as possible. This light was much stronger than the previous model I had. The Sealed HEPA Allergen System is the most important for us at this time. This means it has a HEPA filter that captures and holds 99.97% of the dust and particles inside without blowing them back out, up to 0.3 microns. The power of this vacuum far surpasses any other vacuum I have used. It is incredibly easy to maneuver and almost feels as if it is helping propel itself. The surface technology that automatically shifts from carpet to hardwood is a huge bonus. The canister is easy to empty from the bottom. It removes with a push of a button, and the bottom opens to empty debris with another push of a button. Cons: The only thing I miss from the previous model is the retractable cord. On the other hand, my kids do not miss it as sometimes it would retract unpredictably and wildly.

Honest review after using for 1 month, 1x a week. Looks good, and that's it. Oh wait, I haven't cleaned pet hair off the roller brush. There you go, that's it's only positive point. Now the important stuff. - No edge suction power on the side. Front end edge suction is minimal. This is important when doing perimeter of walls, especially kitchen cabinet toe kicks. - Large 'Dirt tank' but only 1/4 of it is usable. the rest of the space is dedicated to the cyclone spinning pre-filter. - Clean up of the cartridge is the worst I've seen. The pre-filter is screwed together, not an easy disassembly like other vacuums. Requires deep reach brushes to pull the dirt out unless I unscrew it. - The lower dirt lid, while it does function and seems like a good design, has it's own flaws. I wash my cartridge with soap and water because otherwise dirt trapped onto the seal will prevent a good seal for next usage. A large amount of dust/dirt gets stuck around the seal. I end up cleaning the area around the seal with a microfiber tower and am shocked at how much dirt still comes off. - The Sensing technology is a joke at best. All it does is spin up or spin down the roller brush. Looks good on paper, but in reality, when cleaning a kitchen with linoleum floor, also cleaning the small area mat by the sink, the vacuum acts like it's having a seizure. - The roller mechanism is also auto shut down if using on carpet and the vacuum senses it's drawing too much power. Only way to reset it is by turning the vacuum off and back on. Between the useless sensing technology and the auto shut down safety feature, it's why giving it such a low review.. Will keep it until it breaks only because I'm outside of the 30 day window and it wasn't cheap.

I have one med. length hair cat, a 1800 sq foot home with hardwood floors and mixed types of throw and area rugs of different heights and fiber types (which is why I liked the idea of a sensor). I brush the cat daily, and vac every 4-8 days. After first 2 initial uses, the bin was halfway up to the "full" line so I went to empty it, I decided to check the filter. It was COATED in 1.5 of hair. I was shocked I have NEVER seen a vac do this and I have had many brands over the years from shark to kenmore, and other bissells. So I contacted the company, I give their customer service 10 stars, they are very prompt, and extremely easy to work with absolutely the best customer service I have ever dealt with for anything. They sent me a new bin and filters for my vac, said that would fix the problem. I tried it once it arrived, nope...same thing. So they had me ship that vac back to them and they sent me a new one (very promptly, within 4 days). But, the new one did the same thing (see pictures). I have included pictures of the build up of hair and dirt on the filter, and this was right after they sent me the new one, and I only managed to do half the house until I started hearing it struggle so I stopped it after I did the upstairs, before starting on the downstairs to check the filter. Again, this is with one cat groomed daily and I vac every 4-8 days, most of the dirt is not saying in the bin, its going on the filter. Being advertised as being for "pet" homes and between balling up the fur on carpets, and everything in the bin getting stuck on the filter, I'm shocked it does this what if I had a St. Benard lol. It does have suction and alot of power, but sometimes it has a hard time picking up hair on certain carpets, not bad but I have to go over the area. have to stop after about 3 rooms and clean off the filter. The upholstery tool works REALLY well I love it, it uses rubber fins instead of brushes when I looked at it I thought it wouldn't work but it was WAY better then the brush kind, literally the BEST I have ever had for that, which is why I will give it 3 stars along with the customer support and I like the sensor. It also is hard to push on med pile carpets, tho its a heavier built vac so thats to be expected. However, it does also beat the crap out of certain carpets, my braided area rugs are beat to death, its pulling up clumps of fibers on the carpets. I do like the lift off feature great for steps, the cord is a good length, I like the hose its a good length and flexible and I like the wand, and the adjustable air flow. I LOVE the sensor part, it does its job well, and with having so many area rugs in the house it has been a back saver not to have to bend down all the time to mess with a height adjustment, and that part works perfectly. The cat says the noise level is "fine" (she lets it come right up to her, doesn't phase her in the least). It does great on bare floors This vac does blow some of the pet hair around as you approach the area, because the air exhaust is just above the vac head, so it blows "at" the hair and sometimes I'm having to chase down a hair ball or dust bunny as the vac is blowing it away from me as I"m moving towards it, BUT THIS IS NOT UNCOMNON WITH ANY UPRIGHT VAC I ran into this with all the other vacs to, so I'm not saying that part as a negative on this vac, its just a heads up that with pretty much any upright you'll have that issue if you got bare floor areas. I do feel the vac is built well and will last a lot longer than the other vacs I've had. I'm just super disappointed about the filter tho, thats a huge deal killer with this vac. Even with my smaller shark rocket I had I didn't have to stop every few rooms to empty/clean the bin/filter (tho, that one bit the dust after only 9 months, and my kenmore lift off died 6 months after purchase.....so at least this one is still going strong and not showing any signs of breaking down, I'll give it that!) Update, after being sent the 2nd replacement vac by the company and having the same issue, I contacted the company again. They said to send it back (again) and they will replace it with a 3rd one. I'm not sure yet whether I'm going to mess with that, in the meantime I just decided to go out and get a different brand vacuum, used new brand yesterday and it had zero issues with the filter clogging up. UPDATE #2: I am giving it an extra star from 3 to 4. I did go ahead and send back the 2nd one, and Bissell sent me a 3rd one along with some free extra filters. In the meantime I bought a shark, I thought the shark was doing pretty good (and one big bonus is that it didn't clog the filter the way the bissell did) however, I started noticing the shark had a hard time picking the cat hair off certain carpets, so after vacuuming the whole house with shark, I went over it again right away withe the new 3rd bissell, and it picked up alot more cat hair the shark had missed. Still having same issues with filter with the 3rd bissell, but the amount of hair it picked up right after I used the shark made me decide I prefer the bissell between the two. I'll keep the shark tho as a backup and for light duty clean ups as I its easier to maneuver and still does a decent job of cleaning.

I'm in love ,I have four dogs three which are shorthaired and a poodle but I also have four grand puppies which two are long haired and a poodle mix and a shorthaired so lots of fur when there all at my home and I also have a African Grey. I had a Dyson years ago that I absolutely loved but my hubby dropped something heavy on it and that was that so I had gotten a Bissell pet lifter vacuum a few years ago but after about a year it needed a new belt so we got one and replaced it as per instructions and soon after that it started having clogging issues not sure if it was due to the belt but all of a sudden it just kept getting clogged so it was more of an issue to vacuum and then stop and unclog and start again . So I thought many a clog where I can't get to without taking fully apart so I just looked for a new one and seen this I read all the reviews and watched lots of videos and really liked the eye feature since I have heavy throw rugs which I normally would pick up and shake off outside then vacuum but with this the eye detects the different floors /rugs all by itself. I love it I have wood floors mostly and tile floors in the kitchen and bathroom so lots of what is considered bare floors and a few throw rugs and a bathroom runner rug . It was very easy to assemble and I the on/off button is on the top and to use it you just hold the vacuum head down and pull the unit back to recline it and while it is upright the eye is turned off the eye doesn't come on until you start to vacuum which is awesome since by my dog's water fountain the wood floor is buckled a bit from the dripage from my dog's mouths but the vacuum did awesome with that area it didn't get stuck and I assume it detected it as a rug in because it increased suction,I love how you don't have to twist a dial for making sure you have the right length it does it itself. As for my parrot he is on a pellet diet which is thick hard pieces for food and he gets seeds as a treat but the seeds he doesn't like he just throws out of his bowl so I'm constantly sweeping those up but I do miss some and this vacuum is ad no issue with the pellets or the seeds even while corn kernels and peanut shells from time to time I haven't used it as the lift off feature yet because I have a hand held vacuum use for areas that the vacuum can't reach but I did use the hose which did awesome for corners. The only issue I have with this vacuum is the front is to big to go under my furniture,but weekly I pull out my furniture and vacuum anyways but for a quick vacuuming it is awesome. I'm living it

It’s a nice vacuum, but I returned it as my old vacuum cleaner was better. After a few years of beating up my bissell clean view swivel rewind it was time to get a new one. I really like this one, but I thought it would be fun to have a different type something new. when I received the Bissell surface sense allergen lift off pet vacuum I was excited to take it to the test. my living room which has thick carpetd which desperately needed to be vacuumed along with the kitchen, which has a hard surface. I noticed that this vacuum cleaner was fairly lighter than my other. And each peace came apart easily for cleaning. It was also a lot quieter. It has a light in front, which was kind of neat. And I like the idea of the HEPA Filtration. But some of the cons of this vacuum was that it did not have side brushes to help get edging as my other one does. The vacuum just wasn’t picking up everything that was on the floor, especially on the hard surface. It also did not lift off the floor easily to try and get a cheerio off the floor. It just pushed it around. I had to stop un clicked the wand and suck it up with the wand which was fairly easy, but also I had to stop the movement of just vacuuming through quickly. As in my video review, along with the pictures it shows after one week of not vacuuming how much was picked up by this vacuum cleaner. I was curious about the suction and the canister should be a lot fuller for not vacuuming for a week as my other vacuum cleaner has in the past. So I took my old vacuum cleaner and went through the area once again quickly using just one stride compared to the mini strides. I used with the first vacuum cleaner. I was very amazed, how much was literally left behind. When I was finished, I had to wrap up the cord compared to my old vacuum, where I pressed the button and it sucked up the cord for me, which was amazing and kept it nice and tidy to store in the small closet. I definitely will be going back to my old vacuum cleaner. The Bissell Cleanview rewind.

Holy cannoli this vacuum is fantastic! I have two cats and a thick head of very long hair. My old stick vacuum could not handle it and finally just gave up and refused to work after 5 seconds. This vacuum has amazing suction power, tucks away nicely in a corner of my small apartment, is easy to use (it senses the surface and changes mode automatically) and it turns and swivels so nicely it’s actually fun to use. The lights helped me just how desperately my place needed a good cleaning and this vacuum does the trick! As I have a smaller place (~650 sqft) if I plug it into an outlet in the middle of my place it reaches reaches basically everywhere but the bathroom. I’m super impressed, pretty sure it picked up fur, hair, litter and cat nails that had been hiding in corners or stuck in my rugs since I moved in.
