I have a brand new puppy and a senior dog, both of them have accidents ALL THE TIME. This spot cleaner is so great. It is very easy to use, lightweight with tons of suction. No more breaking out the BIG carpet cleaner just for a little spot of puppy pee or even senior K9 diarrhea this little machine is right there to pick up and go to work.     • Great at cleaning messes but hard to clean it
I bought this to not waste so many paper towels with my elder dog taking spite leaks on my carpets. What used to take 20 minutes and half a role of paper towels now take like 10 and no paper towels (unless there's a lot of fur on the carpet). This little Bissell does a great job, but just make sure you add enough cleaner. I didn't at first, and it didn't clean well enough and made the house smell a bit . More cleaner fixed that. It's also powerful enough to collect some dog fur and really gets up stuff from the bottom layers of carpet. Much as I love it's cleaning power, trying to clean the vacuum afterwards is tough. The mess enters it's own canister from the bottom; the top has a latch attached to the rest of the vacuum that covers the emptying port. However, due to the design of the canister, there's dirty water left over in the bottom and the bottom is wet so gloves are a must. It usually takes more than just a casual rinse to clean it. I'll use Lysol or white vinegar, but sometimes the smell take something extra like borax or baking soda. Otherwise, this is a great carpet cleaner. ... show more

This little machine is literally life-changing! A must have for any pet owner! I’ve had my furniture for 5 years and it has taken a LOT of wear. I vacuum it daily and spot clean constantly, but there were unfortunately plenty of stubborn pet stains from over the years. This thing removed urine, vomit and all other stains with absolute ease! It even entirely eliminated the oils from my dog’s skin that no other cleaner has ever fully broken down. I would have paid 5x the price for this and wish I’d known about it years ago!!! An absolute must have! It did leave my couches very damp…24 hours later and they’re still not dry yet. However this may have been my error and/or the material they are made of. ... show more

Recent neighborhood walking resulted in me trekking onto the carpet likely doggy-doo (unpleasant odor). Didn't want a large machine, because apartment is small. This machine fit the bill, and performed marvelously! It effectively removed ALL stains! Incredible! It doesn't take up much room, either! FYI: It comes with two small containers of Bissell carpet cleaner shampoo, and so it's not necessary to buy additional shampoo if you're just spot cleaning small areas. In sum, this is perfect for the apartment dweller and/or you want to conduct spot cleaning. It's the answer for those who (1) have limited space; (2) don't want to buy big machines; (3) have targeted stain-removing opportunities. In sum, it's a smart, compact design that works really well! It worked pretty good the first time I used it to clean up dog barf on a rug. Used it once more to clean up a food spill on the couch. Then stuck it in the closet for a couple years until I needed it again. Won't spray, went through troubleshooting video, contacted customer support. They basically sent me a link to the video and said it's only covered by a one year warranty, so here's a discount on your next Bissell. Um...no. The first one cost me $70 per use. Best purchase I made when I found out we were expecting! This little machine is worth its weight in gold. I bought it for deep cleaning while nesting and knowing messes were ahead… I had no clue how many times it would save me from myself, my baby/toddler boy, and my west highland terrier’s catastrophes. Would buy again and again. Today about half a bottle of liquid black shoe polish was spilled directly on to the carpet and you’d never know, praise the Lord! ... show more

This review is for the Bissell Little Green Portable Spot Carpet Cleaner. My cat likes to vomit on the rug, not on the floor next to it, just on the rug. (I suppose I should be happy she didn't choose the couch, bed, or the pillows) This is my first carpet cleaning machine. I understand now that carpet cleaners are basically just a wet/dry vacuum, combined with a cleaning sprayer and a brush. It's pretty convenient having all of those things combined together, and good to know that I'm actually getting the mess sucked out of the carpet to some degree.
