Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
I read all reviews from many websites before purchasing anything. I compare what the different strengths and weaknesses of a product. I usually do not ever review a product unless I feel it is well worth the expense. I bought the Shark CarpetXpert EX150 series for around 200.00. I do not have a lot of carpeting in my house. I purchased this for upholstery, area rugs and bedroom carpeting. We have a large dog and once in awhile dogs puke and have accidents. The suction power, ability to take apart and thoroughly clean after using was most important to me. I did read that the little cap on the bottom of the clean water tank gets stuck and water leaks out. I also had this problem but was easily remedied with unscrewing it and rinsing it off with clean water. I had to do that 3 times. It never did that while in use it was only after I filled it and before I seated it into the machine. The cleaning was really good and I am totally satisfied with this product and my purchase. Hope this helps someone who is on the fence about buying a rug shampooer. The most expensive one is not necessarily the better one. ... show more

    • Love it!!!

I bought this because my bissel decided to crap out on me and no longer funtioned. I have a shark vacuum that i love so i decided to try their shampooer and oh boy am i glad i did! This works 100x better. My floor is way dryer after using and only took about 15 to 20 mins mins to dry as opposed to taking all day to dry. It has nice strong brissels on the brush so it really gets in the nitty gritty. It did so well on my old shag carpet and even fluffed up the worn and walked down areas. I also love that almost every piece comes apart to clean so there is no yucky build up that is stuck there forever like other carpet cleaners. Just rinse it with water and it all comes off immediately and still looks brand new! The cleaner that comes with it smells very nice and floral and works pretty good! I have had no issue with it leaking at all, its great that it stops when the dirty tank is full and doesnt keep running and spill out on the carpet It is kind of heavy but doesnt feel to much heavier than my vacuum. I do wish it had a handle on lower section so it would help to carry up my stairs Overall i would absolutely buy this again. Super worth the extra 100 dollars to have a better product! Its perfect small size thats easy to store in my closet ... show more

    • Works great! 10/10
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
This was a big purchase for me. I have an aging lab who pees on the floor because she can’t help it. I have a shark vacuum and love it. That is why I was shopping this brand. I loved this shampooer. The only thing I did not like is it didn’t have a trigger and automatically dispenses the water. Otherwise it performed exceptionally well. I loved the upholstery tool! I used it on my steps and it worked really great! The cleaner that comes with it was awesome but I probably won’t buy it. Just being honest. It left my light colored carpet looking like new and got out all the spots and stains. It dried overnight. The persons review who said it leaves that carpet soaked that was not my experience. The tank was plenty big. The water dumps were brown despite the fact that I shampooed with my mom’s shampooer recently. I’m glad I bought it. ... show more

    • easy to use and super easy to clean it!
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
we are so obsessed with this shampooer. We needed a new one so bad between having 2 dogs and 2 children with bedrooms full of carpet. This shampooer has been a game changer. it is super easy to use! it is much easer to clean and super pet friendly! most vacuums of any kind get dog or cat hair trapped everywhere but not with this one! you can easily remove the brush and cover around it to clean up the hair build up and it all flows great you dont have to worry about it stopping half way through your shampooing from hair build up. you can see in my video how well the suction is for the hose and the vacuum itself. it will gross you out lol! The appearance is nice and slick looking and it stays looking pretty longer then most because your able to get it taken apart so well to clean it. ... show more

    • Heavy. Cleans well. Wish it was lighter weight.
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
First time using. It's a good unit, very strong suction. Cleans very well. It is heavy though, not the lightweight I enjoyed using before. Push the unit forward to release cleaner. Pull back to suck it up. Some might like this feature. I prefer to control when the fluid is released with a button. You'll go through a tank full pretty quickly. You can turn off the dispensing and use the dry only function, which works well. Seems to dry the rug decently enough. I suppose in time I'll get used to the weight and operation of this cleaner. I like it. Just have to adapt. ... show more

    • Worth tge money and light weight. Good buy.
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
This is great, super light weight, powerful succession, very pleased. Hose is a little bit to figure out how to route it but the unit itself is great, super light, easy to fill the water and easy to drain and clean the reservoir. Very nice unit and cleans really well. Cord is long enough for my rooms. Hand held clicks on the unit nice, works very well, a little slow spraying with hand held but its nice. Two modes, deep clean and then succession at end to dry things up, very happy with this. The base to catch things at end is nice too, no dirty mess left behind. I do a lot of reviews and this one is an A+ in my book. The value and price point is spot on, no pun intended. Very nice unit. It stores on the little base very good. ... show more

    • This Item vs Bissell's Revolutionary Heat Pet Pro
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
Very light weight, GREAT suction. -PRO's- Only 2 settings: "Deep Clean" & "Quick Dry"-Unlike most carpet cleaners, this does not have a trigger to disperse the solution/water onto the carpet. As you push the carpet cleaner it automatically dispenses the perfect amount of water & as you pull the machine back towards you (slowly) it sucks it up. You use the "quick dry" setting after you have thoroughly cleaned the carpet. I didn't test the hand upholstery cleaner, but it came with 3 different heads. -CON'S- The water/solution tank is smaller than most tanks on other cleaners & I had to refilled it more than with the Bissell. It came with it's own solution... that I tried first....and it was awful. I was ready to return this item thinking it was not cleaning AT ALL! I used the solution that I use with the Bissell & had the carpets looking better than they had in 10+ years!!! *noise wasn't as loud as the Bissell *Size was smaller & easier to store. ***MY FLOORS DIDNT TAKE 12 HOURS TO DRY EITHER*** By far the BEST feature! Also, I have a thick semi-shag carpet that was "shedding" The Shark has the cover you can lift up & remove the bits of carpet. The Bissell does not have a way to remove the carpet from the shield & no matter how long or hard I sprayed water into the cover......the carpet is stuck . BISSELL Pros: The heat feature helps a little with tough stains CONS: -Bulky & heavy -Hand tool suction was less than adequate (my couch was wet all day & might have mildew now-that's my fault for not stopping when I realized it wasn't sucking alot of the water back up) -The hose for the hand tool attaches at the head of the machine & at some point the water stopped once it got to the end of the hose & was pouring the dirty water on the ground. I HAD HUGE MESS to clean once I realized it. -I didn't feel the carpet was "stain free" for all the SWEAT & EFFORT I put in. -WORST PART: My carpet was over saturated & took ALL night & 1/2 the next day to dry! ... show more

    • CarpetXpert
Style: CarpetXpert + Spot & Stain
Shark CarpetXpert is a Great carpet cleaner. Previously I have used Bisell and wanted to see what else was out there. I did some research and liked what Shark had to offer in their carpet cleaner. Here is my take away from my first use of the shark CarpetXpert. The attachment detail heads are impressive, there are 3 options. I used the small detailer head and the medium size to clean my stairs. The brush that is in each head has two sides giving you a choice of the type brush, I really like this! I did find that the hose attachment at the base of unit did leak but with some investigation found one of the clips did not fully click into position. Detached and reattached while listening for the two clips to engage . Problem solved. While cleaning I did find I became lost in the cleaning mode that too much water was distributed in a small area because I forgot to press the switch to extraction mode. A trigger would help for water distribution instead of the automatic water distribution in cleaning mode. The collection reservoir had to be emptied often but that did not bother me too much bc it was obvious by the dirty water the cleaner was doing a really good job. Fives stars for the ease of cleaning all the parts after use. Highly recommend reading the directions for cleaning those parts that are not so obvious. I like that this unit is not bulky, same size as my vacuum. ... show more
